In a convertible, you're closer to nature...I went across country twice-once in a '65 Mustang convertible, the other time in a '68 MGB convertible...Great Road Trips!
We drove through Death Valley with the top down. I was wearing a Speedo, and by the time we reached the other side, I was totally tan. (well, maybe a little red around the edges!)

great time for you to post this! I am on my road trip now. I was in West Virginia, now I am in Virginia. Unfortunately, I go home tomorrow, but I enjoyed my trip!
