How do I use ChatGPT

Hi everyone! I have been thinking about the ways I can contribute to this community, and I though I will share with you the way I use ChatGPT to help me create content for my website.

But a warning first. Even do it will give you a good enough article, it will surly lack the life of the human touch, so beware not to fall into it's "easy work" claws, if you don't personalize your content, it will NOT have the engagement you need.

So, when I don't know what to write about or don't feel inspired, I start by asking for ideas:

Prompt: "Give me 15 ideas of blog posts for a site about Chilean typical flowers".

Then, I start choosing from the list those I liked the most and ask it to give me the outline for the blog post including the H1 and H2:

The next step is to copy this outline into a word document and then start asking it to develop each "H". In this case it would be something like "Please develop only the introduction in 300 words or fewer, include details. Use a friendly tone, your audience is high school students gathering information for an assay.".

At this point you need to start personalizing your post. Normally I rewrite everything and just keep the harsh data to make the post mine (and also don't feel like I'm cheating).

I repeat the previous steps in every "H" I want it to develop, using the same structure for the prompt (type of article)+(length)+(theme)+(tone)+(audience).

You can also ask it to suggest alt text for the pictures you are going to use, to write a metadescription in under 160 characters, and recommend labels or categories for the post.

Just remember, it CAN'T access any information passed September 2021, so it won't work to give you anything "trendy" like giving you keywords or to check out a given website.

Always Remember to check everything out because it can give you made up examples.

Another way yo can use it is by asking it to give you the copy for different social media platforms or a 30 days content calendar for your blog or twitter account.

Just play with the different prompt and see which works better for you. I hope this can help you whenever you feel stuck or blocked, just try not to abuse it or your site can lose it's soul (and audience).
