Hello everyone,

This may sound like nonsense for some of you, or useful for others

For me it is exactly what I need :P

So, how to make a static homepage without set it static?

My home page is a blog roll of about 15 posts...

I choose and set 8 of my posts as ''sticky'' and now my home page above the fold (desktop view according to my screen resolution) is static :))

As saying before, not interesting for some, but maybe for few ;)

Cheers

Én nagyon keveset értek hozzá. Varródában dolgoztam. Kabátokat, gekiket, főleg férfi modelleket. Nem volt időm számitógépezni. Igy nem sokat tudok. Most is a tablettről irok. Egész jól bejön. Lesem az utbaigazitásokat.

Thanks for sharing, Marian. I'm still a newbie so I don't quite understand the benefits of having "static" pages, but I guess I will learn on of these days.

May I ask, Marian, how you make it "sticky"? How you make your home page a blog roll of about 15 posts? Just curious. All the best and have fun ... hmmm ... you are already having fun ... lol.

Hi mate,
As you are on your page (logged in) you'll see a tab in upper side with: your site name - customize - mess - +new and SEO
Click 'customize' and 'homepage settings'
On homepage settings you'll be able to set you homepage to be a static page or your latest posts(this is the blog roll)
On ''https://yoursitename/wp-admin/'' click on posts
You'll see a list with your posts.
Move the mouse cursor over the post name you want to make it 'sticky' and click quick edit
There you'll have the option to tick to make that post sticky ;)

Thanks, Marian, for showing me how.
I appreciate your kindness and help.
Cheers.
