First Sale? Ok, but This Is Just as Good!

I probably should have written this post a long time ago, but better late than never, right?

About 3 months ago, I experienced my first sale and it was a quite euphoric feeling.

Since then I have had several sales and I can feel progress being made all the time.

Although I now experience sales regularly, it has not become routine for me and I really never think it will be.

However, the very first sale is something very special!

There’s a First Time for Everything

Not long ago I got Mailchimp set up with an "Embed Form" on every article I wrote and 3 weeks ago I got my first subscriber.

Ok, very nice, right? What surprised me was the kick it gave me. Complete flashback!

I was suddenly back to the experience I had with my first sale! Pure euphoria.

Since then my mailing list has grown to 5, where I’m on the list myself, simply because that way I can see exactly what my subscribers receive from me.

When I get a new subscriber, the subscriber receives an automatic email from me 24 hours later in which I thank for signing up.

The email also tells a little about spam and certain rights, as well as what to expect from me in the future.

Recently I have set up a “Popup Form” so that guests can now sign up in 2 ways.

It pops up in the bottom right corner of my website after 20 seconds and can be clicked away easily and quickly.

And today I got my 4th subscriber who had filled out my popup form and that gave me just the energy to write this short post.

The Future

In the future, I have to design a newsletter that I plan to send out once a month.

It may not sound like much and perhaps I will choose to send out more often then, I'm not sure yet.

I just don’t want to lose subscribers because they feel they are getting too many emails from me, so there is a balance to keep in mind here.
