Burning Bridges
The idiom "burn bridges" refers to damaging or destroying relationships or opportunities, usually irreparably.
It suggests a final, decisive action that makes it difficult or impossible to go back to a previous state or relationship.
Have you ever burnt a bridge? Has anyone burnt a bridge with you? What was the outcome?
I try to make it a point not to burn any bridges, but sometimes it is inevitable and/or you just realize it is time to cut ties......thoughts?
Thanks and Have a Great Day!

Some people are toxic or manipulative and try to use or abuse you, and with these people I donβt βburn bridgesβ but effectively part ways in as quiet a way as possible
Burning bridges means , for me, a more aggressive style of parting ways. But maybe Iβm just being pedantic.

Absolutely! Sometimes, you have to... All of us can do better :) You push yourself to force transition. It is a good thing :) Thank you for your blog post.
Sorry....busy training this weekend....only my phone for internet use.

Hi Chuck
Inevitability, we all burn bridges, no matter how careful we are not to do so.
Typically, Iβm very careful to respect the thoughts and needs of others.
However, sometimes itβs difficult to foresee the consequences of our behavior.

Listening to Zeppelin right now.
BTW have you checked out Matteo Mancuso, the new YouTube sensation killer guitar player? One of the best players of all time in any genre!π

I just pulled up a Youtube video, Silkroad, very cool.
I have heard of him but hadn't listened to much of his stuff, until now.
He's a monster! Wait.....where's his pick? Haha
Thanks, Frank!

Now I'm watching videos of Matteo Mancuso from this years NAMM show. Crap, I need to get some work done. Haha
Yeah, no pick, like Jeff Beck, except Jeff had the whole tremolo thing taken to an incredible next level!
He could easily be the best guitar player in the world, but nobody can seem to remember his name! Lol π

This does happen and sometimes unintentionally. Itβs unfortunate when it does but we have to move on.

Hello Chuck
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Sometimes you must get as far from certain people as possible for your survival.
I have had some people who were bringing me down in the past. We have parted ways for many years now, but I should have gotten away from them sooner than later.
You must take care of yourself
Jeff
Hello Jeff,
My weekend was /is busy...spent the last 2 days helping to train 18 tow operators in the practice of recovering big trucks, etc.
I appreciate the input and I typically am able to take care of myself. The bridge burning typically happens with former employees.
Thanks and Have a Great rest of the weekend!
