Did you know we are in control of a lot more than we give ourselves credit for .

A situation occurs

Which results in a thought

Then that thought makes an emotion/feeling

And then based on our knowledge and understanding and emotion/ feeling an action is taken

We choose how we react to situations , the emotions , and the actions to follow


In order to get to a successful place in or actions we need the right tools for success. We also need to make sure there are no stoppers or unresolved issues that direct our thoughts to automatically be failure thinking .

An example to things that stop success

I grew up in a low nurturance environment to say the least , so as a child , my parents molded my self image , so when ever I was met with a situation that was difficult the automatic thought was "your just going to fail "(fear of failure ) . Which resulted in the emotion of doubt, depression , sadness and more . My actions following were failure , not trying and self destructive behaviors.

So the solution ?

Developing self esteem and confidence , defeating the false fear of failure thoughts , defeating parenting shaming words , understanding my parents responsibility in their doing while also taking responsibility of mine, getting rid of emotional ties of negative situations by going through each one and finding resolution , and becoming self aware when negative subconsious destructive thoughts come up and knowing when and what triggers them.


This goes with any situation , especially here. Some of us chose temporary pleasure rather than long term gain in our past or currents ( alcohol, drugs, unproductive other activities , food etc ) so there will be a trigger that will happen that may make you want to give up because your not seeing results. I can't pinpoint it for you unless we were to talk and I get to know you but the more your self aware to the destructive thinking , such as self doubt and where it stems from . The easier it will be to walk on the path of success . Just remember that the mind has it's comfort zone and when you try and get out of that comfort zone it won't be comfortable, but keep striving on. Then that uncomfortably goes away for good .

Really perceptive post and greatly appreciated! It's so difficult to reverse the conditioning from poor parenting at any age. But understanding that it was caused by another's failings and not due to yourself, can be a helpful start to boost self-esteem and confidence.
