The 1-3-5-7 Formula for Success
By day, I am a network marketing professional. No, I'm not here to pitch you. I want to share a valuable lesson I learned many years ago that has really helped me out. I know it can help you as well.
We have a respect trainer in the MLM industry, Eric Worre, who shares the 1-3-5-7 formula. This rule is for the "estimated timeline of success" in your business.
In a nutshell, he says that:
It takes about 1 year to learn the basic skills in any business.
It takes about 3 years of working a business part-time to create a full-time income.
It takes about 5 years of working a business part-time to earn a six figure income.
It takes about 7 years of working a business part-time to become a professional, a top earner.
I have found this to be true in my own MLM experience, but more importantly, it has held true in every other type of business I have owned.
I think this is a very realistic timeframe for success with Wealthy Affiliate, assuming you are working your business consistently 10 hours per week, every week, no excuses.
What do you think? Is this timeline for success accurate or way off? Leave a comment and let the world know.

I think there is really no way to put any numbers on it.
All other things being equal (drive, skills, time, etc) If one person lived in an area and was in an industry where their full-time job income was $400 per month of course it would be much easier and faster for them to build an income equaling their full-time job than it would if they lived in another area and had a full-time job income of $4,000 per month.
On the other hand, with two different people... one person could just "get it" much faster, provide real value, know how to market themselves more naturally and have other high income skills, etc and they could actually build their $4,000 per month income faster than another person could build their $400 per month income.
I believe it is a great formula to measure success, I could use this as the basis of my success here at WA, but I still believe that focus and determination could help you step up to reach your goal.
Chuck I honestly will agree with the PRINCIPLE behind this your blog BUT will have nothing more to do with anything MLM business because of my personal and bitter experiences of many losses for many years before I come to discover Wealthy Affiliate which in no way had I seen any one reason to compare WA with the
MLM companies which tends ONLY to kind of favors those who first fought their way to the top while those who joined a little later will end up being the slave to the few at the top.
Disclaimer: This is not to claim monopoly over other facts I may have not known about MLM but all about my personal BITTER experiences for nearly a decade with much of the loss of my hard earned money before finding WA.
Anyway, the principle you highlighted stands true for me.
Cheers.
I think that's a pretty good timeline for most people. There's always going to be those who are able to achieve it much faster and those who won't stay motivated that long and quit.
But for the majority of those who stick with it and keep plugging away at creating great content and building their business, it's very realistic!

It's a good lesson, but we are all
hoping to move forward faster than
that. I cross my finger!
Have a great day!

I hope it’s a little less than seven. Five maybe, lol. I’m not giving up though. I’ve been looking for this practically most of my life, but never came across anything like WA! Looking forward to yours and everyone’s success.

I think they are realistic targets, based on most people working part time on their business, I would be interested to know your views on the following. I am retired and have been working on my business 5-8 hours a day. I try to write 3-4 posts per week. When I’m not writing I am updating/editing my site.
