Got the Blogging Blues?
Lots of people quit blogging, probably 97 out of 100, if not more than that. Those are my observations.
If you're frustrated with blogging, you are not alone. Been there. Done that!
You know what? It's okay to be frustrated. It's okay to want to quit. Even top earner bloggers feel that way sometimes.
Rather than throw out your hard work and quit blogging altogether, there is a much better option.
Start a new business! Get a new part-time job. Get a new full-time job. Start a new side hustle! Do something else to solve your IMMEDIATE financial challenges. AND, keep your blog, but cut back on your hours.
Instead of blogging 10, 20, 40 or 100 hours per week, cut back your hours by 50 to 75% and focus on something else for a while.
Don't shut down your blog or quit completely, but regroup. By cutting back your hours invested each week, you will have time to gain clarity, regroup and decide the best way to move forward.
I don't think should stop blogging completely, but it's okay to cut back. Yes, this means your growth will be even slower. And yes, that is okay.
Why? You are building an asset. Instead of thinking of your blog as a way to generate income today, think of it as an asset in your long-term financial portfolio.
This will eliminate your blogging blues.
Do this for one, two or even three years. Just keep chugging along, but at a MUCH slower pace. As time goes by, you will have more clarity and be able to make a logical decision about what to do with your blog in the future.
I hope that helps. What are your thoughts?

Really useful post thanks Chuck though writing is like breathing to me LoL If I wasn’t logging I would just be writing in some other way but I will keep this in mind, I like the start something else. One of the ways stay fresh is by have 3 websites each with very different niche topics. Stay safe and well 🧐
I am feeling this for sure. Thank you for saying it'd okay. LOL I have fund that I am getting frustrated, mostly with myself.
I know it will be okay, it's just so crazy right now. You would think with all the extra time I could get myself going.
One step at a time.
Thank you chuck
Perfect timing for such a blog. I had two websites last week and was suffering from the blogging blues for many reasons. I had set myself targets and was failing to achieve them. I'm writing a WA blog on this later today to explain some of the reasons.
But on a positive, to get around some of the issues during the week, I targeted a new niche that was actually a campaign (slightly political). It envigoured and excited me and gave me a chance to blog.
I was wondering whether by splitting my time into now 3 sites, I had made a mistake because now I would have more to do and I would continue to fail to meet targets etc... But your blog here has encouraged me that actually having 3 separate sites will allow me to take a break from 1 if I am getting bored with it etc
Thanks again
I will tell you. It's hard enough to build one successful website. Building two or three is honestly almost impossible.
Thanks Chuck,
I understand where you are coming from and with your profile, your comments are certainly not falling on deaf ears.
I have to ask, with your history and success , why did you join WA? i.e. What do you feel WA offers experienced affiliate marketers and MLMers?
Aw, Chuck...!
You've ruined my new blogging strategy! I have been so lazy during these past 2 years on WA, that I decided to do the One Funnel Away Challenge run by Clickfunnels and also create a Financial Education funnel for a friend...
Talk about video-watching overload, yet clarification of the whole marketing process!
You talk about doing 10-100 hours a week blogging...I know that if I just do 30 hours per week, purely blogging, that's actually about 28 posts per week!!
Why do I say that with such confidence?
I used to be a Legal Secretary in the '90s and typing fast, editing and research comes very easily to me. I also use Google Docs Voice Typing Tool - so really don't have ANY excuse not to put in the work....
In 2 years, I only put 30 posts on each of my sites (I have two). Talk about lazy!! Not only that, I'm doing WA full time!
So now I've worked out each week that if I do 2 posts per site per day, I'll have done 14 posts for each site in 7 days.
As I use the Voice Typing Tool, I thought "Hang on a minute" - I can actually do 2 posts in the morning and 2 posts in the afternoon. That should take me about 1 hour to narrate the post, and 1 hour to edit it and include images. 4 posts per day = 28 posts per week, = 112 posts a month (Give or take 10 not done at the weekend)
So lets say, that's an average of 2 hours per post. I really know my subjects well - there is really a ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for not ramping up the pace.
I find blogging fun and don't get bored of content writing as I am really into both niche markets for my sites.
Chuck - what you have made me see is that if I put the hours in and stop surfing the net so much, I can actually create a lot of posts, tonnes of traffic, high conversions and plenty of passive income.
Thanks for making me think!
All the best,
Stella

A very useful piece of information and something that I needed to read right now. I put a lot of effort into my blog for many months but eventually burned out a bit! Its easy to put too much pressure on yourself to blog constantly and its really hard work. Instead of shutting everything down, I walked away for a while. I'm now ready to get started again... So lets see what happens this time around! Thanks again for the post.
Regards,
Andrew
Welcome back!
