Okey dokey, so following on from the Out of the Box Marketing Series and the Marketing Ideas Research Series, let's kick this off with the first idea, Business Cards!
Business Cards
A business card can do more than just announce who you are, they can also be an advertisement for your business.
You could even put your picture on the business card, as it will help people to associate a name with a face.
A business card could also be the first impression that someone has of your business, and you only get one chance at that, so make sure it's a good one!
Business cards also work to build your image, convey your personality, and is a powerful reflection of you and your business.
Make sure that you use both sides of your business card.
Don't, however, go overboard with wild colours or by using fancy fonts that are difficult to read, and definitely don't use all caps.
You don't want your business card to be too busy/cluttered, but you do want to develop a quick impact message, that does more than just says who you are.

I do not have an offline business, although that is one of my long-term goals.

No, but I have been toying with the idea.
Do You Think Business Cards Are Still Relevant Today?
I do think they are relevant, but I am unsure of how I would get them to the masses, so to speak. Especially in the current state of the world.
My business card has the info printed on one side because I like to be able to write something on the back.
My husband is much more casual (that is, lackadaisical) about carrying and giving out business cards than I am so the last time we both needed new cards, we designed one with my name and photo on the left, his on the right. Our emails and cell numbers are under that, and then in the middle is our logo, business URL, address, and home phone.
Great idea and I think business having an impacts depends on the generation of folks or your target audience. For the young folks, probably not beneficial to give them, maybe video channel or social media forum. For the older folks, high probability of success as a marketing tools especially having those magnetic that can be place on fridge surface.

I used to use business cards. Now I don't. I don't have an offline business. I don't think cards are all that effective even for an offline business. People would give me their card. I had lots and lots of them in a desk drawer never to be looked at again.
I have had some success with flyers. Print them so you get 2 flyers per sheet of paper. Take each flyer to a bamboo kabob skewer and stick them in people's yards near the driveway so they see them when they first get home.
Great sugestion Neil, flyers are already on my list and will make an appearance soon :-) Interesting thought about the skewer and driveways though :-)
It helps to have a bicycle or even a small scooter like a Vespa to cover as much ground quickly. I thought about buying a scooter but I could ride my bike on the sidewalk and it would have been illegal to ride there on a scooter
