Some Thoughts On Paying For Content

Hi everyone,

I've been fairly busy recently, mainly with researching and writing posts for my site. At this stage my website is not current ranked in Google but as I understand it, when it does get ranked, I need to scale up the amount of articles that I'm publishing per month.

I know that Google tends index newer content much faster once the main website is ranked in the search engines.

I have been toying with the idea of using an article writing service to stay on top of the content creation/posts, whilst I concentrate writing product reviews but was wondering if anyone else here has done the same.

Some thoughts and feed back would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I am thinking about doing that up the track.

I am thinking of doing the research first and then passing on
the writing

I would also provide links for useful information that I found.

That would mean that the writer would basically have an outline to work with and they could work on the fine details.

I would also show examples of articles I had written so they get an idea of what is expected

I will let you know if I down this route and what results I get

Hi Greg,
Since November when I wrote this post, I have used textbroker. I found the quality of the work was excellent when using one of their "4 star writers".

As you said, you do need to provide a detailed brief before hand, giving info on article structure and keywords etc. I supplied them with the title and a rundown of what I wanted included in the article and they did the rest.

Overall I'm happy with the articles I received, but they are a bit on the pricey side! You wont get any change out of $60 for a 2000 word article. I guess you get what you pay for though.

Best of luck with your content outsourcing and please do let me know how you get on.

If you do not have strict deadlines, you can try a content mill like textbroker.com.

I wrote for them years ago when I first started content writing...to get some experience, and to get free feedback on my writing.

They rate their authors, so if you pay for a blog post by a four or five star writer, the lower quality writers can't accept the assignment.

You have to be very specific about posting guidelines for your writing projects - otherwise you could end up with a post that's not right for you. They only allow minor changes to a assignment, so writers don't end rewriting an entire piece for free.

It's a platform that's not great for writers - the pay is lousy - but pretty good for clients.

If you do use a site like Fiverr - ask for a writing sample before you give anyone work. This way you don't have to pay for a crappy writer.

Besides those sites, you might want to do a search for content marketers and copywriters on LinkedIn and reach out to one of them.

Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the valuable information. I will definitely look into textbroker a bit more in the future as it would a handy way to scale up on my article publishing goals.

I think it's all about finding the balance between the quality and the cost. This information was really helpful.

Thanks a lot

Hi, I have tried fiverr - i have found you do not get what you pay for.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I will steer well clear:)

Well... I am also writing content at the moment
It takes a lot. My site is indexed and i have to develop pages and posts.
Wish you all the best.
