Why do we blog at WA?

I have seen some people wondering why we bother to blog at WA.

There are of course a number of reasons, and maybe everyone has their own reason.

One of the main reasons why I do it is to get practise in blogging in a safe environment. Most of us need that practise, certainly when we are starting out. If we are lucky we get really helpful comments from other members, all of which help us on our way. Of course, the bigger network we have the more people we will reach and the more we will learn.

Most of the blogs we write on WA are probably shorter than the ones we write on our websites, but it is all good practise.

When I notice that there is something which is a number of people are asking about on the lessons, then if I can help them I will write a blog on that. By the same token, if I have something that I am struggling with I have found that writing a blog about that is a great way to get the answers in addition to asking questions in the usual way.

And of course, when we reach an important milestone or achievement for ourselves, is is great to share that with other people.

I am sure that there are many other reasons why you write blogs, and I should love to hear them if you feel like writing a comment underneath.

Many thanks for reading this and have a great day!

Your reasons for blogging here at WA are exactly the same as mine.

Writing is a learned skill and the more we practice it the gooder we get :o)

Most of my blogs I see as seeds of future potential articles. The ideas come into contact with other minds filled with different ideas. And that interaction can help me shape and refine the original idea

Sometimes a response can give me a new unrelated idea that I like better.

Also you never know when something that seems trivial to you will be a vital piece of information someone else has been searching for. If you find a solution to a problem or find a useful tool, several other people can benefit from your experience.

Some of us write because we have to. The words will not stay down.

I really like your thinking :)

Hey, chrissies I liked your blog today. This is why. I woke up this morning intending to go directly to work on my website. then my phone chirped and I got your blog on my email. after reading it I thought about how I would like to spend my day here at W.A because I plan on catching up on a lot of work. so I questioned myself why not start off in the community instead of diving into my work . So I plan on writing a blog sometime today myself. I don't even know what the subject will be
but I will think of something.

Thanks for the morning inspiration.
Reggie

I find that it's a great way to get things off your mind that are bothering you, or by sharing an experience that you've gone through.
I too use it as a tool to practice my blogging skills and to see what works with engaging comments.
What really amazes me about blogging here at WA is, that you never know how the things that you are going through, can reach out to so many people who are going through a similar situation. That's the number one thing that warms my heart about sharing my stories here!!

Great comment Brooklyn :)

Thanks for the perspective. I just recently learned to blog ( a few days ago) and I didn't know for sure what benefit there was in it but have found your statements to be accurate. I tend to be reserved in person and don't speak until I believe I have something worthwhile to say to someone who is likely to receive it. When blogging one doesn't know their audience so we can't know how the message will be recived. All the more reason to just be real and honest and let the chips fall where they may--as long as one's intentions are kind and honorable, of course. Jeanie

You are so right Jeanie :)

WA is an authority site. Blog posts I put on WA rank in the search engines. When I blog on WA, I write an abstract on my website blog with a link to the WA article. That gets me good backlinks to my website and I am promoting WA with that link.

When I have a friend who is having a computer related problem, I can create a WA training to help them solve their problem. I then refer them to the training, stand by to answer any questions they may have and improve the training based on their questions. I'm helping my friend and a lot of other people with a similar problem and I am promoting WA to everyone who reads the training. Of course, I use everything I have learned here at WA to promote the training.

I will definitely try that, many thanks :)

Well, that's a good strategy! Thank you for sharing :)

So true!

I thought that was true. Thank you for confirming! Powerful piece of information

I believe it helps with our ranking too.

That is very true Joy! :)

Yeah, there are many reasons to blog on Wealthy Affiliate and you never know who is going to read your post... You can share your success to motivate other people or post a solution to a problem you have been struggling with for a long time...

We want to help each other!

We certainly d want to help each other - that is why WA is so amazing! Many thanks for your reply :)

Practice is always good for all of us, both new and old bloggers. I like to focus my blogs here on information that will help people. It does overlap my site a bit. So I do include links to examples and more in depth posts on my site.

Many thanks for your reply :)
