Howzit/Howdy WA Community,

So following on from @CathH1 Binder, Books or Boards how do you Map your Projects Blog, I wanted to revisit it (as it's been 5 years since the original post) and get people's opinions on:

    1. Which method of "Mapping" do you prefer
      1. Pre-Technology
      2. Modern Technology
        1. If Pre-Tech
          1. Books
          2. Binders
          3. Boards
        2. If Modern Tech
          1. App
          2. Program
          3. Spreadsheet

As for me, well I'm in both boats, being a Gen X and having grown up with a computer in the house (using a 5.25-inch Floppy Disk originally). I can just hear all the Gen Z's & Millenials going, "What's a Floppy Disk" ;-)

Ok, I digress, so the purpose of this Blog is to find out what people use for their Project Planning and why. I have looked at several Apps and Programs that are available (both Free & Paid for). I have also looked into creating a Spreadsheet, but am not sure which direction to go. I know it will be Modern Tech as I hate my writing ;-)

    All help would be appreciated.

Have an amazing, productive, successful rest of your week.

    Regards,

    Chris

I suggest you employ a variety of tactics, then stick with the ones that appeal to you best!

    Solid advice, thank you Canty.

I have plenty to go with.

    Have a wonderful week.

I prefer spreadsheets. It is a bit time consuming up front but after that any tweaks are easy.

    I have to agree with you, an amazing, well laid-out Spreadsheet makes life so easy. I just hate getting it to that point ;..-{

Thank you for your feedback. Have a wonderful week.

I tend to lean towards the pre-tech ways, Christian. Somehow the tactile experience just cements better in my mind...can't say I miss the floppy though.

    Susan

    I hear you Susan,

As the saying goes "A Picture speaks a Thousand Words". Can't beat the pre-tech ways, because, when tech fails, what do we do? Revert back to the good ol' Pen & Paper.

Thank you for your feedback. Have a wonderful week.

Yes, I definitely remember the floppies, Christian! I tend to be a bit disorganized, and spread out. I am working hard ot consolidate and downsize, and that is taking up quite a bit of my time right now when I am not busy with my physical work or getting repairs accomplished to the damages caused by December's Freak wind storm.

    Cheers Jeffery,

I have to say that at the moment, I am Super disorganised as I find my feet.

Well, it's better than "Drowning", as I was a month ago. Keeping my head above "Water" now and actually making progress.

    Have a wonderful, productive week.

    Regards,

That's awesome , Chris! I say that whatever works for each individual in their current situation is the best, my friend!
