What if you are afraid

when starting the journey here at WA, you are going to learn a lot of new things or how to do things in a different way. What if you are afraid to learn new things and put them into practice. This will be the biggest hurdle for most to overcome when they are starting their business.

Hurdles to overcome

I am a Scout leader and we went to a State Park near us. The kids are at a different level of athletic and confident abilities in the water. This park is very different as the water can be very shallow with big holes to jump into off of the rocky base.

As I watched a couple of my Scouts climb up on the rock and look down at the water and step back down, I thought of the many people who come to WA and see some things they have to do to be successful.

How do you overcome these Hurdles

Both of the boys that I was watching were swimmers, they were not afraid of the water. They stood one at a time on the top of the rock looking down. I shouted and pointed for them to just jump in. One other boy stood in the water below to show them how far to jump out to get to the deeper water and not touch the bottom.
The boys keep hearing encouragement and instructions from their peers. Finally one of the two boys jumped off into the water. Then he encouraged the other boy to jump and he did. Then the merry-go-round started and they just jumped in and swam and waded back to the rock to jump again.

How does this relate to WA

Just think back to when you first started at WA and looked at the training, The number of the lessons will be overwhelming at first. There will be many things that you will have to try for the first time.

How will you get the courage to build that first website, write that first 1000 word post, put your information on the social media networks, make that first video for YouTube or talk to people you don't know about your offers.

Use the same principle as the boys. Use the people here at WA to encourage you, teach and show you how to do the task or answer you questions about how to do your task.

Ask someone how far out you have to jump to get into the deep water, listen to others that have done the task before. Learn from watching or listening to others that have done the task before.

Have fun, don't make it too hard

The boys had plenty of fun swimming, jumping and climbing on the rocks. You can make your website an enjoyable journey by just getting the right help and encouragement right here at WA.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, learn new things or step out on the edge of that rock and jump into the water. With the proper knowledge, knowing how deep the water is, your journey will be a success.
