Hi friends, it has been ONE week since I joined WA! Let me tell you, what a week it has been!

Here's what I have achieved so far:

  • Completed Boot camp phase 1
  • Chose my niche
  • Went live with my website
  • Earned my Google index badge 2 days after my website went live
  • Published my 1st review
  • Gotten some feedback on my post

While I felt such an achievement, there are also many challenges I have encountered in this 1st week. I want to share learnings with you if you are just starting out with WA:

1. Focus Focus Focus....

When I first joined, the WA site can be overwhelming. I was navigating through responding to welcome messages, choosing my training packages, setting up my goals, etc. There is so much to learn, to make decisions on and I was constantly distracted by live chats, comments etc. So if there's one thing I'd like you to take way from, is to focus on the decisions you need to make during the 1st week. During the 1st week, you will be choosing your niche, creating a domain for your website, and narrowing down on your target audience. This process takes time, and you need to allow yourself you have the head space to make these decisions.

2. Find a friend in the community who is just abit ahead of you on the journey.

There are so many helpful members here on various aspects from all walks of life. It was important for me to find someone who I can relate to, and just a bit ahead of me on the journey. A shout out to Heidi, who I connected with on my 1st day. She was just 4 weeks ahead of me, and gave me some great pointers since she only just experienced it. Thank you Heidi!

3. Don't be a perfectionist - just hit that "Publish" button!

Then it comes to writing my 1st review. I don't know about you, but I am a perfectionist. It took me 3 days to write it, perfect it. I made my husband to read it 5 time! I was SOOO scared of pushing that "Publish" button. When I finally did and got some comments almost instantly from fellow members, I felt SOO relieved... So what I've learned? don't worry about being perfect, it will never be! This is a journey, the fact that you are starting, it will just get better!

I am super proud of what I have accomplished in WA during the 1st week. Did I mention that I really enjoyed it? I hope this was helpful for those of you who are new to WA. Don't forget, if I can do this, so can you!
