WA journey - 1 month update
So this is my 1st month journey with Wealthy Affiliate.
If I am being completely honest, I feel like I should have achieved a lot more within the 1st month than I have done so far... but for those of you who don't know me, I am an over achiever who had set a high target for myself when I joined, ignoring the fact that I have a demanding job and being a mum of 2 young children.
I'm not looking for excuses here, but instead, aligning my expectation with reality. I went into this knowing it's going to be challenging, but what I didn't realize is in what aspect. For me, I learned pretty quickly that TIME, or not have enough of it, is the most challenging part.
So rather than beating myself up, I'm writing this so I can see for myself what I HAVE achieved in black and white, so I can focus on the positives and identify the improvements...
So what HAVE I achieved so far?
- I decided on a niche and chose a domain for my blog
- I built a website that I'm happy with (for now)
- My website was indexed by Google
- I poured my heart and soul (and lots of time) in researching and writing the 3 posts I have published so far
- I have received some great feedback on my posts to help me improve
- I have also posted 3 blogs on WA so far
- I met some amazing people on wealthy affiliate who cheered me up and helped to answer questions
What I would like to improve for the next month?
- Continue to publish at least 1 post a week on my blog while improving my writing efficiency
- Figure out how to bring more traffic to my blog
- Figure out how to get my post indexed in Google, Bing and Yahoo
By now, I'm already feeling more positive than when I started writing this. I know starting a business is not easy, otherwise everyone will be doing it. I chose this path because I want to build something amazing for my family and helping others along the way.
If you have any advice on how to bring more traffic to a new blog site and getting blog posts indexed faster, I am all ears?

Hi Chloe. Pinterest is one of the fastest social media platforms to use if you wish to increase traffic to your site. As for indexing, have you used Google search console yet?

I use Pinterest and Instagram to drive traffic to my site. Instagram works a little bit better for me.
