Getting Back In The Saddle - New Website - Starting Over Again!
Been some time since I posted here last. Actually been a while since I published anything at all. Prior to Googles last update I was feeling pretty good about where I was going with my blogging. My website SecretGardenofMind.com was getting more clicks, more impressions and so on. It was getting eyes on it more traffic but then all of it just completely gone.
It was frustrating and at the same time I was getting more busy with eBay (and in fact this is still a HUGE obstacle) but one thing I haven't lost is my love for writing. I have actually been itching to get back into blogging again and something happened last week that is pretty BAD but perhaps not. My website iBusinessToday.com I went to log into and the whole site was GONE - It turns out that I didn't renew my domain ownership and it expired - in MARCH like 4 months ago. I mean it just goes to show how defeated I have been with blogging about anything.
So Initially I was quite upset and stressed out. I was told by somebody that this website could be as valuable as 10K just because of the content and all the hours I'd spent publishing - I don't know if this was really the case but I messaged Wealthy Affiliate and they was super helpful.
They got me a back up of my site as a SiteRubix so I didn't lose any of my work and they suggested I start afresh with a new domain SO this is exactly what I have done.
The domain I have bought is called IncomeOnlineExperts.com
I got this name from ChatGPT by asking it to recommend 10 domains for a website about blogging and affiliate marketing. There was a few good ones too. But yes so IncomeOnlineExperts.com I think its a good name and its a perfect opportunity to do things differently. My plan is to just readd my blog posts one by one.
I am not really thinking about the traffic I am potentially missing out on. I don't know if maybe I should have a redirect or something set up but I don't even know if I still can.
But I guess just what i want now is to be a lot more organised. One of the first things I want to do is get all my email marketing stuff in place. lead magnet, autoresponders, and automations.
Then a big thing I never could quite work out before is SILOS ~ I learned about this from my training with Affiliate Lab. I understand this now FINALLY so this is the other thing.
I am going to try not to think too much about Google SEO as well. I will let nature take its course but I really want to try and go in with different traffic sources maybe take longer between publishing new content and spend more time on a proper strategy for building traffic.
I think possibly my other websites I will take a back seat with too because one website I think should be worked on at a time and once this is making passive income then I can go and fix all my mess from before but will say I am very busy with eBay these days I have 2 accounts now and I'm back selling on Amazon - my aim between everything i have decided is to make £275 a day - this times 365 days in a year is 100K (6 figures) - if I could make 1500 a month blogging (50 a day) this would make this doable I think but will see long way to go but hopefully this is just the start!

You must have been mildly shocked to realize that what you had created was no longer available in the form you had hoped for. I congratulate you for carrying on anyway. That's a winning sign.
I'm curious about silos. Can you tell what that is without violating any trust?

Yes. So this done through pages not posts. At top level you will have the main keyword - say dietary supplements reviews. Then under this you create your branches - etc. blood sugar supplement reviews, weight loss supplement reviews, Multi Vitamin Supplement Reviews. Each of these pages you add the main page Dietary Supplement Reviews as the Parent page, then you go one level down from here so XYZ blood sugar support review will be a child page to the blood sugar supplement reviews page.
Have a little pay around see if you can make sense of it. I had a massive issue with this before because I was freaking out about this content not appearing on my blog roll but the trick is not to worry about this as this works as its own machine apparently and in theory as the pages are linked this helps boost the SEO potential from what I gather.

The domain URL you mentioned, whois database, says it is still available unless you misspelled it - Is this the case?

Hi Alex! Wow! What a journey you went through! That is why I have all my domains here set on auto renewal; that way, I will never lose my domain name. I thoroughly get how you felt defeated with all this happening. Now, you can start over with your new domain name. I had to start over several times in the last five years here. I agree that it is not worth thinking about "Google SEO" because you write for people, which is your audience. It sounds like you have a great plan to get you started. I find it hard to focus on too many things at once. I learned that one thing is to focus on building it one step at a time. Moving forward and onward! 😀
Yes trying to stay optimistic. Kind of have all the excitement of starting again. I'm hoping this time I actually can get this too work. If I am being honest the last 4 1/2 have not been fruitful enough for my liking. I really thought I was getting somewhere with my SecretGardenofMind website. Same with my other website I was on a tangent of getting more views more clicks etc. The first time I was actually seeing commissions at least every month but google is just so cruel but I guess you have to be pretty tough in this game and this is exactly what I am doing.
