Your online business IS YOUR BABY! I will explain
You can compare your new online business here at WA to be like a baby! From the moment you started to build your website and add content was your baby being conceived!And a pregnancy takes 9 months to go full term right! So the mother must take care of herself and think about the baby as soon as she knows she is pregnant to help the baby develope right while it is inside her!
If the mother doesn't take care of herself there is a chance the baby could die before it is even born!
Same thing here. Your business is still being developed. It is has not even been born yet essentially.Once you have a good deal of content and start getting visitors then your baby is born!
But a baby is very delicate and needs to be fed and loved and shown affection and taken care of! If you do not feed your baby it will die. If you do not love your baby it will die emotionally and most likely not be a successful part of society! Which is the goal here! Help our baby to grow up to be honest, trusted ,liked and successful part of society!
So is the same here! Even once your baby has been born the only way it will grow is to keep feeding it and loving it! Feed it by continually adding new content and love and nurture it by connecting with the people that come to it!Engage the visitors and make relationships!
If you have a nice pretty baby people will like it! If they your baby they will visit more and become friends with your baby. If they are friends with your baby they might the really trust your baby. If they trust your baby they will listen and take advice from your baby and want to help your baby grow even more!!
If your baby is rude and doesn't play nice doesn't share your baby will have no friends and will not go anywhere accept down hill and to a life of seclusion! You can't be successful in seclusion! You can only be unhappy and have no friends.
You need to teach your baby the right lessons and feed it the right food to make it grow up strong!! You need to love it so it loves itself!!! You need to show it you believe in it and give it as much love and support as you can! You must never give up on your baby! Even once it is grown and has become an adult you still love it because it will always be your baby!
If you stop anywhere along the line the chances of your baby not being successful are that much greater!Some businesses can survive being mistreated but most will not.
Show your business to be respectful, feed it properly, love it, teach it to help others and support it and never give up on it then there is a very high chance your baby (your business) will grow up to be very liked and successful!
The problem is most of us don't realize why our babies can not walk and talk and run right away!Why can my baby not sell anything! Stupid baby. My baby doesn't help others in anyway..I wonder why noone likes my baby?
Because your baby is still a fetus in most cases when we want or expect it to get up and start selling to eveyone like a champ! It needed to be born and raised properly and trained properly to be a champ!
But instead most of usually vote for the abortion! Kill the baby before it even ever had a chance!It can take time for your baby to grow and start getting visitors and even when it does you still need to teach it manners!!!
Think about that!!!! Treat your business and look at your business as a baby!!!! Never give up on raising it and get an abortion or give it up for adoption!Don't quit on it. Keep building, Keep training. Keep making friends!And find a way to help others in the process!
Your baby can grow up to be a very successful part of society but it can die easier! It is easy to quit! The challenge is never giving up! Remember your baby is still a fetus! It takes a person many years to grow up and be successful. So does a business. We usually get an abortion before it is born or give it up for adoption after it is because we give up on it and don't want to deal with it anymore.
Would you do that to your own real child? No right! Then if you want your business to be successful feed it, love it, nurture it, support it and never give up on it and it will succeed I promise you that!!!!! WA is a giant daycare to help and show you how to raise your child!

Good comparison... and you are right, a business is like a baby that will grow first into a child, then a teenager, and finally a successful adult as long as you stay by it's side even thru the tough times.
yes it is! The problem most people have is they give up before its an adult! We have to raise it completely and like you said good with the bad! Thank you Buck!
