My niche is fishing...anything fishing from tips and tricks to fishing products
I am not sure If I am just impatient or in the wrong niche but I have not been getting much traffic I don't think..I have been told to be patient and keep building and the traffic will come! I have asked within the community to get comments on my site and got exactly that! Comments on my site itself!
I have got lots of comments saying how nice my site is designed and how well written it is and how well layed out it is but zero comments that have anything to do with my niche!!!!!!! Not one!! not from WA anyway.
I have asked for fishing comments and for people to leave their fishing stories but it seems out of all the people that have seen my posts or read my posts or visited my site no one fishes...nobody is a fisherman here?????
Anyway I thought I would ask if anyone thinks that Fishing is a good niche? It is something I am passionate about that made it easy to build content where I also have a site promoting how to make money online and that has been hard to build content as I know nothing about making money online because I have never made a red cent just spent lots.
I feel lost writing reviews for anything about making money online because I know I am lying! I am trying to sound like a pro and know nothing!! It has been very hard to build even what I have so far on that site because I don't know enough and am not really passionate about ways to make money online because again I have never made anything so how can I be????
Every other niche I have tried to think of I'm sure would have lots of competitors!! whats your opinion??? what should I do???just keep building like I have been or change my niche to something I am not passionate about??? eveything I am passionate about Im not sure can be profitable for me without major struggles I am sure. my site that I have worked so hard on and getting low traffic...less than 20 clicks per day

I'm not sure about your site chinky. I'de like to see something as to what your site is about. The headline says everything fishing and my first click tells me that this is the coolest fishing vest and a link to buy. No front page on what your visitors should expect to find. So I'm thinking (because I like car racing) if a headline says everything car racing I would not be interested. But everything F1 , yes. So I think your target market may be Canada and USA so give them what they want (through research) and learn to get traffic to your site. The site is excellent but (of course this is a personal opinion) you need to let them know at the home page, what you and the site are about. Fishing is where you belong but you must have a vision about what you are delivering, who to and the value of your service. Build your brand, learn and keep building so that you become the authoritive go to person in your niche.

I agree with the stone pounding aspect, but still feel your site is very useful it just getting traffic sure there will be another angle, I have set my self first marker goal of 6 months to get good traffic
I suspect you don't want to hear this, but I agree with the comments below ... stay with a niche you have a passion for. Sounds like you have completed Course 1. Have you looked at the next course (Building Your Own Traffic Producing Site - Level 2)? I can't wait to get there. Sounds like that is where the rubber meets the road so to speak.

It all depends on how you look at it...If you keep pounding on a rock hoping it will give you water no matter how hard or how long you pound it for you will not get water....I am hoping this is not a rock im pounding on!
Hi Kevin, with a site like yours and the fact that you are passionate about it I would not dream of changing to anything else.
Just be patient and keep doing what you are doing.
I remember one of Kyle's lessons in bootcamp, where he actually says if your keyword has less than 10 searches with a very low QSR, it is still worth using it.

You have been doing a great job on your site, and that's why people are commenting on that :)
Personally, I am not a major fishing person (I know this is rare coming from Norway;) - But most of my male friends, brother and other family back in Norway are all eager fishermen - and I know they would be really interested in the specifics of your product reviews.
I think the key here is patience. By the sounds of it, you are progressing really well and getting some rankings - keep chugging at it and you will get more traffic.
Are you sharing your content on other social media than G+?
such as twitter and pinterest...I'm just thinking out loud here...are there any "fishing forums" you could contribute on?
If you are passionate about fishing, then it's definitely the right niche for you

Thanks Karina. Yes i have been contributing to most of the fishing forums already and have several pages within a few of them. I DO share my content on FB , twitter and pinterest also. I have .been working very hard on this site and hope that I start seeing results soon
Fishing is always a great interest too many and you are progressing nicely , I often think that people see the internet as faster at achieving than a conventional business but it is not always the case still takes time to build and get the word out, keep going and researching it will get there , you have only been doing it for a short time....
Hello, I would like to know what is the ranking of your page in SEO like Google! Concentrate on getting ranked in the first five pages of Google, then in the next step we will talk about comments and revenues. Be patient, it is a matter of time.
something is starting to work...I typed in "fishing tackle BC" I have 6 pages that show up on the first page! starting about #7 or #8 then I typed in "Fishing Products" I have a page that shows up on the first page again in about position 10 or so
I typed in about ten different phrases.Actually titles of some of my other pages but I don't rank on ever the top ten pages on any of them
