Don’t forget User Experience (UX) is critical to SEO.
Most, if not all ranking factors are directly related to the user experience. Search engine results to the user’s question or search, are the most important to the user.
You have to make sure you pay close attention to what your content is providing to your users. If they don’t see what they are looking for or don’t find the answer to their questions, they will most likely leave your site. That does not look good for your site, according to Google.
All your content needs to start with the users of that content. I try to myself in my readers and users shoes too make sure my site and pages are completely functioning properly.
Try asking yourself a few questions to make sure your users will get a great experience on your site:
- First, does your site and your pages load quickly? If not, you need to check your page speed options and see why.
- Did your content and keyword provide the answer to the users question? If not, look closer at your content strategy and maybe your keyword.
- Is the page easy to navigate so your user can find what they need? If it is to hard to navigate, would you stay?
- Did you give your user some easy CTAs to help them get to your products or affiliates to purchase what they were looking for? If not, go back it make them more obvious and inviting.
These are all simple things to do but are critical to making sure your website is really functional. You don’t want your users to have a bad experience and exit quickly. This will hurt your ranking.
Hopefully this will help some of you.
Have a great day!
