I came for the Burger.but what about the fries?
I Wish I got Fries
I came to WA thinking YES another opportunity to try a New and Exciting Burger, I mean who doesn't like a burger?
The Restaurant was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves. I overheard all the tables around me raving about the cheese, the bacon, the one with quac., and even the one with the egg on top.
10 pages later I learned what I've kinda always known...a Burger is a Burger, it's the fries and perhaps the milshake that really gets you excited as you watch all the tables around you.
...and GravyReality check here. You see I got excited. I blasted through the training since I've been in web development for a few years now. The training teaches the basics to WP which is fantastic, everyone needs to start somewhere. But in order to step further I have to purchase Premium. So I can write a Blog and add items to the menu....but am I missing something?
I thought I was here to learn the inner workings to affiliates. Instead I was taught how to do a blog and the foundation to SEO.
I wanted to get to the good stuff and perhaps learn something.
My headspace has hit a wall.
So I must Ask - Go Premium and get access to more blogging and SEO insight, or does the training actually teach you how to set up affiliates and how to get paid?
I believe it said 6 more hours of training, does it eventually lead to the "how to"?
What to do?

I appreciate you only got burger, but you were given the burger for free. If you want a side order of fries and a milkshake or maybe even a celebratory beer after work, I'm afraid you have to pay.
I think Kyle has said all you need to know, you are obviously quite experienced, probably far more than me. I upgraded to premium after 5 days and never regretted it.
I finished the OEC course and yes it guided me through building, SEO and then writing blogs and affiliating. Here we have access to many affiliate programs I am now affiliated to 5 and have seen traffic and made money in 9 weeks (ok a small amount)
As a starter member you also have the opportunity to try it all for $19 for the first month. I mean come on Burger (with cheese) and fries and a milkshake and a monetized website all for the bargain price of $19 isn't bad at all.
Ah - perfect - I appreciate the additional insight Sara.
im a little more motivated with the analytical approach. Very curious about the affiliate idea in general. 9 weeks seems reasonable and I get that Rome wasn't built over the weekend so I appreciate those details.
I mean its a new space that I am still evaluating. Carson made the comment below about gas, I mean hell he's right, how the hell im I to try the burger if I cant even drive to the restaurant....
Nothings free, thats obvious...just making sure eveyone's had a great experience really.
When I began I was really sceptical, I heard so much about scams or affiliate schemes that tell you one thing and then ask you to upscale weeks later! but I can honestly say, here at WA you get what it says on the tin.
Just add up what you would pay for Jaaxy and website hosting and you are already getting great value from your premium membership. I went annual and that saved me even more money and got me committed to my website for the year, the only extra I have had to pay is to buy my domain.
You don't go to a free university open day and expect to get the degree lol.
The great thing is here you can cancel anytime. I hope you decide to give it a go, we are a great supportive community and could benefit from your knowledge and experience : )
I was certainly surprised at the partnerships
I'll take a few days to come up with a brand that makes sense and burn through the Jaaxy 30 (25 now free searches) to makes sure I can hit the ground running.
When I commit id hate to think its not permanent....
Like many ive been burned too...the recovery of time lost, such a pain in the ass.
That is the foundation building stuff, we get much more advanced. There are 100's of hours of live classes, over 40 lessons more in the OEC course, 70 lessons in bootcamp, weekly live classes and training updates, and a community that discusses a wide breadth of topics on a daily basis.
So you are definitely just scratching the surface here. ;)
It sounds like you have some experience in building websites and seo which is great. Remember tho that the majority of us here do not have that experience so we welcome the basics to get us up to speed.
When you join as a premium member the training goes a lot further than just setting up sites, and shows you how you can leverage affiliate promotions to earn an income online.
In my opinion you won’t find a better place to learn affiliate marketing, and from there you can branch out to other areas if you wish.
Perfect - That's all I wanted to hear. Kinda wish that was explained out of the gate instead...
Chad - yes, the training does go into the "how to". It's extensive and dynamic (new training is always being added).
If you hover over members' profile images, you can see when they joined ... many of us have been here for years. I imagine that's one of the best indications of WA's utility.
Thanks Laurie - Im trying to be patient. Have to understand that being taught how to created 2 blogs and keyword them (in my mind) would never become a source of revenue (without adsense perhaps?). So premium gives you, what was it 25 websites?...which cant be just about blogs and keywords...
Just seeking clarity :)
Well, in terms of your burger analogy you haven't paid anything yet... So it is like walking into Burger King & them saying "hey sir, here's a FREE burger... see if you like it - and if you do, then you can pay and you get the fries too".
That would be great huh? Well that's exactly what you've got :)

You will get more then fries when you go premium. Apart from the WA training you will have access to some fantastic extra training (loads and loads of it) provided by your fellow members. Jim
