In The Desert
I sometimes find myself in the desert with my business motivation. Having to find another keyword that will convert into traffic eventually.
or
write another post on that keyword when you can't for the life of you think of possibly one more thing to write about in your niche.
and
you're not making money anyway
but
I am in the desert
and
there is such a thing
as
an OASIS.

I'm with you Chadd. I feel the same way sometimes. But if I take a breath and think about it I always come up with one more. But the good part is I'm learning so the next site will go even faster. Good luck.
Thanks for your input.
Sorry to hear your daughter has OCD.
I have it too and this is what my website is all about.
If you ever need any support give me a yell.
Chadd.
When you type in your niche, go down through the list of suggestions and press the dig button...
If you are limited on keywords with potential traffic then why not start thinking about website number 2...
I have potentally another 15 to 20 posts to do and then that will be it, no more posting and start my second bigger website in a few weeks time...
Thanks Paul.
I will have a look for that dig button and will think about what you said about another website.
How many posts will you have in total when you finish doing your posts?
The dig button is on the right in the keyword search...
Will have approx 115 posts when finished...
A lot are short as I focus on images also.
No harm in trying another or even bootcamp. My plan is to have 3 or 4 niche sites then try bootcamp (but will need to think outside the box before I start as it's fairly saturated)
Yeah for sure.
I've thought about boot camp but would probably prefer the keyword searches with another niche website. 115 posts ok thanks that gives me a ballpark figure for myself. I'm up to 14 so that's a great effort on your part Paul.
I have a few short posts as well.
Thanks for the info.

The thing to remember Chadd, is that this is no different than a brick and mortar business. You have to look at your pages and posts as the stock in the store or the service you provide. You have to keep marketing the website (store/service) until you build up the clientele who will eventually purchase. That does take time. In a regular brick and mortar business, that can be anywhere between three to five years. With that in mind if you can get started in monetizing your site in one or two years you are in front of the curve. All the best and keep building.
Thanks Harvey.
I wonder if you have some free time one day you could look at how I have monetised my site and give me some feedback?
Cheers,
Chadd.
If you have your site on your profile in the Follow Me area, I will.
I do.
Thanks Harvey.
Chadd.
Hello Chadd, I visited your OCD site. The site is well laid out and the posts are very informative. The only thing I could not find is how you have monetized the site. I saw no affiliate banners including the one for Wealthy Affiliate.
Thank you Harvey.
I have monetised my site on a few pages and posts by highlighted words and images that are actually affiliate links.
Are banners better? I was told affiliate links on my homepage are probably not a good idea.
My resources page has some affiliate links and so does the drug induced psychosis post and also my product reviews. Thanks for giving of your time Harvey.
Chadd.
I will take another look now that I know where to look. I am not sure Banners are better, but it is something I have gotten use to when visiting other sites. It maybe a question to ask at Wealthy Affiliate (WA). Is it the homepage or landing page that you were told not to place banners?
