What Is In The Palm Of Your Hands? (The Year Of The Wood Snake)

Happy New Year, Everyone!

It is officially 2025!

I gave everyone a few days to settle in and get their groove back before jumping in to welcome you onto the pathway. This is the year of the Wood Snake and it promises to be another opportunity-filled year.

Many people are afraid of snakes and what they represent but that may be because they are misunderstood creatures. I prefer to err on the side of positivity. Here's a neat quote about what the snake brings to 2025:-

“The Snake is determined to instigate change and to put insecurities [in the past].
“To help him do this we need to work together as a team, be prepared to compromise by giving as well as taking, do a good and thorough job in our field and contribute where we can because every piece of a jigsaw is important.”

Doesn't this remind you of our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Community? How we work together to support the growth and success of our members?

My 2025 Objectives

Having enjoyed a challenging, growth and achievement-filled 2024, I expected that energy to continue into 2025 - and it has. A lot more of what I planted last year will deepen their roots and start blooming and bearing fruits this year.

My time away from WA for over a year requires me to invest more time to bring my learning and skills up to date. I have already redesigned my core business website, sketched the framework for a new personal brand and completed an outline for my second book.

Although (with little effort) my WA income is growing, I know that once I start investing more time in our community, my statistics will improve and so will my referral community. I am working on setting some realistic and meaningful targets for new referrals and supporting our members and increase my WA income stream.

My other business investments will continue with an emphasis on developing markets in the Caribbean and Latin America. The HR technology space is changing right in front of my eyes. Much of that is being driven by AI and data needs and I am loving being a key part of it all for our region.

Above all, I am a Mum and that takes precedence. My daughter will be 15 years old next week (going on 24 😂) and she is preparing to leave the nest soon to explore the world. With her major high school exams happening in Q2 2026, we have strengthened our efforts and I am supporting her as much as I can.

And finally, our lives would lack engagement and excitement without travel. We will be doing more of that this year as we venture into some new territories and revisit some old ones to make new memories.
