80th WA Post - From Blogs To Tutorials
I am building muscle and strengthening my mind and body.
Wealthy Affiliate (WA) is my gym and our community is my protein. Nope! I am not on steroids. Everything I need to build my online success is right here. No superficial stuff needed.
My learning and success continue to grow exponentially because of this community and all the tools and resources that it offers. Thank you for your support.
Is our community perfect? No, it is not. Do I expect it to be? No, I do not.
You must appreciate that, as with any community or organisation, (especially one with over 2 million people from all over the globe), it is impossible to please everyone. Fine by me. I am very clear about what my objectives are at WA and you should be too.
You should not allow anyone or anything to distract you. Keep you eyes on your target all the time. Find your purpose and own it!
Writing On Point
This is my 80th post at WA, with an average of 500 words per post, I have written over 40,000 words here during my first 6 months. According to Wikipedia, that could be a novel.
During that time I have learned how to leave my report, technical and corporate writing behind and become more conversational and engaging with my audience.
Instead of writing wordy large paragraphs, I now write using simple sentence structures that are easy on the eyes and flow well on different devices.
I understand how to present my words attractively using little details such as lines under my headers. (Thank you, Nathaniell.) Simple things that make a big difference.
Grammarly informsed me that, during my 27 weeks of writing at WA, I have written over 243,000 words! That's another 5 novels in the mix. When I look at it like that, I am impressed with me.
I have written every day since joining WA - every day! I can safely say that writing is now a way of life.
My First Tutorial
Now that I feel satisfied with my writing and it has become a way of life, this month I moved on to learning tutorials. I completed my first training on May 4th, 2020 and was happy to see that it ranked in the Top 10 this week.
The tutorial was very well-received and the feedback shared has translated into improvements for my second tutorial. Thank you to everyone who went through it and for the many comments shared.
I have taken my learning from my writing and will be approaching my tutorials with the same simplicity and ease. Learning to do tutorials at WA will support my online business niches which are positioned in personal and professional development, change and well-being.
Becoming a Yearly Premium Was a No-Brainer
I am thankful that I made my decision early to become a Yearly Premium Member during the Black Friday Sale in 2019. Now, I am looking forward to being grand-fathered in to the new structure and offerings.
I see that many of our Members are still thinking about taking up this very generous offer from Kyle and Carson. If you are serious about investing in your skills, learning, development and online success, then this is a no-brainer decision.
Just do it!
There is nothing like WA out there and we are going to continue to go where no man has gone before.

Since I believe you when you say you're not on steroids, you must have one helluva "why" as your key motivational factor. I wonder what that is? So...

You are very right.
I am at WA with a deep, personal purpose which drives me.
A life purpose is imperative otherwise we simply drift with the current and go where we are taken.
Quite frankly, the blood relatives of my generation and prior came from very humble backgrounds.
They worked hard to educate us and nurtured independence, pride, strong morals and values and an admirable work ethic.
As a result, our generation and those following have been blessed with immense personal and professional success.
I do feel a burning desire to make VERY good on that and to give back in a sincere and meaningful way.
In addition, I am a single parent with an awesome daughter who I would like to bless with the freedom to truly BE and DO anything she wants to.
A legacy of WA will afford her that opportunity and will, in my opinion, be immeasurable in value as she gets older.
May I also ask:
What is your compelling "why"?

give your self a big pat on the back Cassi you deserve it you graduated from a fantasy picture to your own picture. know all you need to do is finish your training four and five are very important. You will feel very good when you finish. but also take some time for yourself you don't want to get burned out. I know I have been there also.

I will be leaving at the end of the month and I will miss WA but as the saying goes clime ever mountain. My work here has finished sounds crazy to say but I have not worked like others here for me it has been personal, I wrote all about it in 4 posts. it has been nice to make your acquaintance but I will still be hanging around here till the 30th

Cassi, this is awesome! You are such an inspiration! Where am I with my 70,000 words written for my websites since last October? :) I wish I could write every day. Might do one day, seeing your progress really inspires me.
You are so right about practising writing here at WA, unlearning the business or educational style that is boring for the readers. It is something I had to unlearn too, still working on that.

What you share are the reasons why I did not "dive in" and rush to make a dollar.
That is not what I am here.
I am here for the long-term and to build a business legacy that is sustainable for many decades to come.
Re-learning is key to that.
My suggestion:
Take your time, but DO something EVERY DAY.
Read, write, share, ask- something, anything.
