Sarcopenia is common as you age. That is unless you try to do something about it. Some muscle loss is a natural occurrence with age, but with proper diet and regular exercise you can increase your quality of life and more than likely have a longer lifespan.
Well, I had gotten to that point; I could feel the effects of sarcopenia, and I was not happy with it. I have been active, and had a physical job, however, as the years crept up, I notices the stairs seemed steeper; ones I was used to climbing.
Don't Be Satisfied with the Status Quo
At first, I tried to ignore it, soon I decided it was time to do something. I got an exercise bike. With regular use, others also noticed an improvement in my health. In time I also collected a few other pieces of exercise equipment.

Now, I am not against using a gym, I have been a gym member a number of times throughout the years. However, it is convenient to be able to have equipment available any time of the day, without making a special trip to the gym.A Bright Idea
I Discovered Wealthy Affiliate
I discovered Wealthy Affiliate, and I got the bright idea that perhaps a website would be a way to promote exercise equipment as a way people could increase their health without needing to go to the gym.
There were (and still are) technical things to learn in running an online business. However, with the help of WA, I soon learned that there are others as well that are glad to make exercise a part of their life and add gym equipment to their home, also. And so, a small business was born.
Don't Forget to Get Your Sleep
From having the benefit of having all the helpful people here at Wealthy Affiliate, working on my website has become an enjoyable part of my life. At times I get so involved with posting, etc., that I can stay up all hours of the night working on it.
I don’t recommend losing your sleep over your job, just saying I am enjoying my experience here at WA. It is a great way to fill my retirement hours!
