Site Comments Platform
Hello everybody.Just want you to know that I was very disappointed that my site comment on the platform was disapproved.
I think it is a matter of urgency to reform the whole site comment in that people that asked for a comment on their blog should state in their comments exactly what they want e.g Do you have experience of being a health coach? or what did you learn from the topic?
Just the most important questions they should state before people make comments about their blog otherwise people like us will end up making comments that they may not want and we end up getting disapproved and removed which is unfair.
So there needs to be a platform which advises bloggers/author to 1.read their blog first and look for important points to state their important and exact questions related to their topic and 2.specify/ explain in exact words what they want their commenters to write or not write.
It is either reform the platform or remove the platform altogether and make something completely different for both commenters and the author so that nobody gets offended.
That is just my suggestion. I hope that the persons that run this platform resolve this issue quickly.
Thank you in advance.

Hey Carmeta - The platform has been slightly tweaked in that poor commenters will be manually reviwed and possibly banned.
However, many small changes could easily be implemented to improve it without manual intervention by WA. The platform has been a continual source of discussion for many months but
the Powers That Be decided simply to add some sort of checking system.
Your idea of a 'note box', say Twitter style, would help in many regards. I need to tell people what my site is about before they comment - trust me on this :-) - so I can't use Site Comments until it's improved.
I can't see any major change happening soon. You've just got to try to live wiuthin the system. Regarding your comment rejection, I only comment on subjects I'm familiar with and even if I see a post on a familiar topic but ti's badly written or confusing, I skip it.
Good luck.
Ian

Honestly, I disagree with a box stating what people want and I'll explain why.
I've had comments disapproved for silly reasons and have a 97% approval rating, so I'm not a bad commenter.
Comments should be HONEST opinions, or questions, etc, and not fake interest or pretending. You can comment without pretending you're interested in buying. 'Coaching' your comments by providing a box for instructions is a little too much like encouraging people what to say which isn't very ethical.
I HATE getting fake comments and you can tell when someone is just faking interest. Heck, I'd take negative comments as long as they are 'real' opinions.
You can absolutely help fellow marketers with honest comments. No one needs to lie and I refuse to be 'coached' on what to say.
The reason 'decent' comments are disapproved really is because they're trying too hard to influence readers to buy. They want 'high quality' comments that are valuable to that end. They forget that ALL comments are valuable. They don't realize that it looks very staged when there isn't low quality 'good post' comments too from organic visitors. Even negative comments are useful in Google realizing that there is something worth engaging in that post.
Nevermind most people are not going to bother to read the comment section. They might glance through it if they are interested in leaving a comment, but I can't even tell you when the last time I looked at comments on a website.
Plus you don't build trust with your audience if you delete every mediocre comment.
I wish people would stop rejecting decent comments just because they don't say what they want it to because then people focus on getting approved by faking interest and I hate that. I want REAL comments for my site. I'm not marketing through my comments. I refuse to fake comments too.
Don't take it personally. People seem to put WAY more importance on comments than needed.
I agree with you that you dont want any fake comments and all comments are valuable that are decent.
I do agree comments here on Site Comments should be rejected if the person hasn't even bothered to read it and it makes no sense. But I only reject spam on my site because even not great comments are valuable to me AND Google. :)
