A naval engineer by education, cabinet maker by trade, an InterNetWork marketer by habit and a sailor just-for-the-fun-of-it:

My interests & hobbies include InterNetWork Marketing, Natural Health & Wellness, Sailing Fitness, Steel-tip Darts, Classic Indian Motorcycles, fine hand-made cigars and full-flavored dark porter ale.

I’m a native-born American hailing from Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, but my point of origin is the Great Black Swamp area of the Buckeye State. My first venture outside the great state of Ohio was for a four-year sojourn in a small trade school in Annapolis which suited me up for six years of “Join the Navy and See the World” cruises which spanned the three (3) largest oceans, the largest sea, the largest gulf and included two (2) tours in the lovely Gulf of Tonkin, although the ship I was on was hardly eligible for the local Yacht Club.

My career took me from the Great Black Swamp to the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean thru the Gulf of Mexico and the Panama Canal to the Pacific Ocean; visiting exotic (and not-so-much) ports which included Bath (ME), Norfolk (VA), Guantanamo (Cuba), Rio de Janeiro (BZ), Gaeta (IT), San Diego (CA), Treasure Island (near Alcatraz, although I was never an inmate there), Seattle (WA), Pearl Harbor (HI), Hong Kong, Subic Bay (PI), Singapore and the Seychelle Islands (somewhere off the coast of Kenya).

Since my detailer wanted to send me back to ‘The Nam’ for a third tour, I decided it would be best to seek my fortune elsewhere. I spent a few years in a shipyard on the gulf coast building ships for the Navy (probably hands-down the most fun J-O-B that I ever had) and then went to HQ in Crystal City for consulting work, which eventually brought me home to the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

My love of sailing (but don’t call me a man of the cloth) goes all the way back to that sojourn in CrabTown and the stop in Singapore is responsible for solidifying my dart habit, where my mentor (for the sport) and I controlled the board at the Limey’s O-Club, having only bought one round to get on the board. After that, the challengers bought the beer and we maintained control (of the board, that is).

When the consulting jobs dried up (due to someone else winning the contract), I decided to start designing, building and installing kitchen and bath cabinets and doing the remodeling that goes along with that. When the local home improvement warehouses started carrying low-end cabinet lines (and some mid-level lines at prices I couldn’t compete with), my business took a nose dive. And when the economy started to do the same thing, it became “too wet to plow.” My business was finished and I had dug a pretty deep hole (the better to hold all my self-pity, you see).

During the latter stages of this “career” I had been exposed to several network marketing companies, and quickly learned that the guys who got in early were making all the money! Imagine that!

When the internet became a popular spot for network marketing to adapt, I started to once again check out the options, although I was more cautious now and made fewer "commitments to 'excellence'" – or is that 'ineptness'?

I ultimately found Wealthy Affiliate, and lo-and-behold, they allowed me to get started for FREE!

And the rest is history, so to speak.

The support network here is the best I’ve ever seen. The training videos and tutorials run the gamut from basicly boring to extremely excellent. The tools provided are top-notch and second to none. What more could you possibly need, except perhaps an invitation!

Thanks for stopping by my profile page, I’m very glad I met you. If I can be of any service to you, you have only to ask. Leave your questions or feedback in the box below. If I can’t personally answer you, I’ll find someone who can.

Wishing you ‘Fair Winds and Following Seas’,

Money Goals
I feel humbled by some of the goals I've read here, and my goals are diminutive by comparison. I'll be happy to make $1 a day and I'll be ecstatic when I've turned that into $600 a month. I've got 3-4 hours a day to devote to this pursuit. And although I'm humbled by what I've read below (and I wish you all the best in your endeavors), I realize that when I've figured out how to make my stated goals, it will only be the beginning of the journey!

To beginning the journey! To me, the first few hundred dollars per month seem like the tallest hurdle to overcome. But I know that if I can achieve that amount, I can do so much more. Good luck, TappinHammer, I wish you all the best and hope your path to success will prove interesting.

Welcome to WA. There's lots of info on this site so don't let it blow your mind. Follow the 30 training offered here and also go to WAbinars and go to Affiliate Walk Through parts 1 & 2. There it will put it all together for you. I also suggest going to potpiegirls blog. She good. MUCH SUCCESS

I love skeptics. But, I also know how you feel after spending time and money on many other site ending up in front of an empty wall.
Do the 30 day training. It will help you move forward. There are people on this site that are willing to spend their time showing you how to do it.
I did the training. I listened to magistudio WAbinars and then when I felt confident built my own Wordpress website at www.comforthealthybikesaddles.com I have been getting orders off of this site and sending these comfortable healthy bike seats of to Australia and Europe along with sales here in the US.
I am also doing offline business building sites for local small business around my area here in Palatine, Il. The one nice things about all of this is that if I decide to move I can move the business with me.
So please do the 30 day training. I also suggest you going to the WAbinar on the menu bar of the main page and arrow down to "An Affiliate Walkthrough WAbinar" There is part 1 and part 2. They are about 1 hour per wabinar but it will open your eyes to this entire process. Please get back to me and let me know if you have any question and or how you felt about the training and the WAbinar. By the way I'm a 68 year old real estate agent in real life that took a big hit in the real estate market. This whole process is bringing revenue back to me. I wish you MUCH SUCCESS.

I'm a skeptic - been thru many other programs that promised the world but delivered only information - could fit my net income in my cap - so my question for you is, is this just another glossy front for a web hosting company with backup training libraries and videos, or is it really possible to generate a walk-away income? I'm not asking for a handout, just a helping hand-up!

Thanx for the greetings. My first question is how did you manage to rank 55th if you just joined last month? I'm a skeptic - been thru many other programs that promised the world but delivered only information - could fit my net income in my cap - so my question for you is, is this just another glossy front for a web hosting company with backup training libraries and videos, or is it really possible to generate a walk-away income? Hey there! About the member rank, it's based on your involvement in the community. It basically rises when you comment on a WA blog, write something in the forum, create a resource for others. It is definitely possible to earn a "walk-away income" just by applying what you learn here and using the tools provided. You really need to stay consistent and take action. They give you all the things you need to become a successful affiliate marketer here. But then it's up to you to take action and become successful. Definitely not a "push of a button" thing. People are here to succeed in the long term and what you can learn here is really created with this in mind. All the best! :)

Thanx for the "Welcome Aboard" How is the member rank figured? I've only been a member for a day and I've already "risen" to 5965. I'm a skeptic - been thru many other programs that promised the world but delivered only information - could fit my net income in my cap - so my question for you is, is this just another glossy front for a web hosting company with backup training libraries and videos, or is it really possible to generate a walk-away income?
