Hello there...Are there any Greek folks in here or I am the only one?

Hi! I am Greek! Just joined Nice to hear from you! I thought of exploring possibilities on doing some business on the internet. I am a language teacher, I also do puppet shows as well as drama and writing workshops and I am a scriptwriter. I was thinking of possibly teaching on the internet I am exploring the possibility of using any of my skills on the internet. I see you want to make an e shop What were you thinking of selling? Ideas?

What e shop?

and yes.....still no GReeks here.....

I am surprised! They must be sleeping...surely there is at least one!

Anyway I just wanted to discuss how are they doing... I just started something for Greek market (which is a strange market as Greeks are very difficult on buying online...Blogging as a person or an individual is surely NOT the way to sell anything to them....They prefer e-shops or similar things ) and before moving on to something different I just needed to hear some ideas or what are they doing or if they have any results

haha! I also read GEEKS! lmao! D:

Me too! Who's next???!!!

HAHA...I first read GEEKS...lol!

hahahah these are welcome too!!!!

If he doesn't find any gReeks, he will have many who find this humorous.

Hi there

After seeing the how to build your website tutorial and the WA affiliate tutorials I want your comments on this.....

The approach of WA's building a websit

I think you need to build trust and credibility in your visitors and the personal blog approach helps with that. Perhaps view it as a personal review of products for your visitors rather than a personal blog.

Τhank you for your answer CMcCulloch but...
I am trying to understand the mindset needed.
The meaning is to sell products in order to have an income and lets say those would be affiliate products right?
Those may be from gadgets and instruments to boats and houses in different websites that i will build. Many of those would be out of my personal interests but they would be considered as a source of income if there is a market for them....So my question is..How can i review them as i may never buy them myself or they may be out of my knowledge...and I am sure you didnt mean that i should lie....
As far as i know online business is......website with product--->bring traffic to it----->sell--->have commissions
Let me give an example...Lest say I build a website about astrology and promote some astrology related affiliate products there because there is a market.I dont have any personal interest in that but i want to use this niche for a profit
Again i am just trying to understand the right point of view here

I believe you should have the mindset that you are building a successful, long-lasting business.

This is from Kyle in Course 3, Lesson 1:

"Ultimately our main goal is to run a profitable and highly lucrative business right?

We all want to earn a profit. The biggest problem is that many people lose track of the fact that marketing, running a successful business, and ultimately earning money is about building a relationship with your potential clients. This is a people business and you are dealing with REAL people.

REAL people are coming to your site.
REAL people are reading your content.
REAL people are going to take action if they trust yet.

If you understand the customer part and how to treat them like gold, then the money will naturally follow. This is going to be emphasized throughout this course."

Yes I have read that and I agree. You have to think as a customer and not as a saleman...thats for sure but again...
Lets say i built 10 websites about 10 different niches.
Lets assume that i intent to promote amazon products from the amazons affiliate program or fishing products which I have no idea about.
An about me page would add what as the main puprose is to sell products to cover other peoples needs and not mine as those products are out of my personal interest and probably i would never purchase them?
Thats my real question

If you are referring to owning a .com website versus a siterubix.com you can always buy your own domain. I believe a personal approach is always better. There must be thousands of websites just selling stuff, or should I say trying to sell stuff and competing against giants such as Amazon. This is just my opinion. I am from Portugal, a small country as well, and I am not aiming just for a national "audience".

Τhank you for your answer AnaSantos....
I was involved in other online marketing programms in the past
I had some results but they were not I really wanted so I am not completely new to this.
What I am trying to understand is that after I select some niches (lets say this is Fishing products) I have to build a website and bring traffic to it so people will visit it and among other things will buy products.
This site may be informational about fishing techniques, etc....Why there should be an "about me page" on that?
I dont have any personal interest in fishing or knowledge about it....i just want to promote fishing related products so an about me page would say "hi i just want to sell you stuff"...or lie.
Another example that i can think is if i want to promote amazon products from the amazons affiliate program.
Whats the point of an "about me" page
Again i am trying to understand the meaning when it is obvious that online business is sales in different profitable niches which you dont even have any personal interest

I think it is very importante to sell something you are interest about or love. It will much easier to write about it. It won't feel so much hard work. Remember you will be doing this, hopefully, for a long time. Even if you have a physical shop you will need to know what you are selling and most of all relate to your customers. If you feel so strong about the "about me" page, do it your way and see if it works. All the best!
