Affiliate and Local: Getting on Course

Intro

So when the pandemic hit in 2020. I had confidence in marketing for local businesses. Which was giving me my source of income. While affiliate marketing with Amazon was part time and well to be honest was on decline for me because I wasn't working on the website that was giving me Amazon commissions for over five years.

Well, covid-19 hit a lot of business did not have business because of lockdowns or the harsh government interventions. Which caused well clients to fire me. Which really hit me harder than I thought. I lost confidence.

Affiliate Marketing

Because of that I went to focus on affiliate marketing and yes got commissions from Clickbank. To give my history with Clickbank. Well I joined that 08 Oct 2009. Never got commissions from that until June 2020. After looking into my Clickbank account I had a most of the second half of the year with commissions.

Well, it was one of my goal to get commissions from Clickbank. But once I had done so. I was not happy. The reason is I was getting commissions for products I actually do not like. But those popular products did give commissions. The ones that I like (ex. sqribble) I was not getting results. Also the products that were getting results were a one time off type of commissions.

2021 WA

So in 2021, change of plans to recurring affiliate programs and programs that I actually bought and like to use. Which led me to promote Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program.

I am getting results in WA affiliate program and because it is recurring I can feel the effort succeeding months.

Goals

My goal is to try to get to 100 sales by December 31 2021. Of course not every sale will be recurring since each person joining WA has their own circumstances and different level of effort done. Some will quit because of their own reasons. And I am still happy to promote WA because they can comeback later.

I new about WA somewhere between 2007-2009. I dismissed WA as something that will not last. Well I was wrong. WA is more than 16 years now and is planning to go on for longer.

Well, back to my goal. I might not hit it but having that goal with a date is really pushing me to set my mind into this.

Adding Local

Now, to today.... I am going back to local as well. Having a bit of success in WA has given me back my confidence. I am planning to add local marketing for small business back to my life.

Talking in the WA platform has made me realize I also would like to help local business to flourish despite all the uncertainties. Helping and giving value first before asking for compensation is something I would like to adopt in how I do business.

Enriching others first is a thought that excites me and hopefully I earn along with them.

2022 will be a whole lot different for me with renewed confidence and a better mindset.

Why Local and Affiliate

Affialte marketing and local marketing will be using digital marketing with the root word marketing.

So marketing is marketing. What can be done promoting other people's products and services can be done to promote other people's businesses. Are you getting what I am trying to say?

Local and affiilate seems logical to me. What I learn in WA I can apply to local and what I learn in Local I can apply useful stuff to affiliate marketing.
