So this is where resilience comes in.
It's been quite a journey here at WA.
It is whatever you make it, if you interact with others, they will interact back.
If you don't talk... no one will talk to you!
With that being said I have realized I have become less active in the past months, especially since fall has begun.
The other day I was going to quit, but I sent Carson a message instead.
I still haven't heard back yet, and I don't want to quit either.
I've been a member for almost 9 months. I love this community and what it stands for.
I have created 3 websites.
Have many views and posts.
I have learned a ton.
I have sent many to amazon...(as an affiliate)
Except I have not gotten lucky with anyone buying anything after the click to amazon.
I have not seen a penny in return.
I couldn't afford yearly so the monthly fee has been slowly draining my bank.
I didn't expect a full-time income in one year or even part-time, but I did expect to make a penny in 6 months.
I am not blaming or complaining about WA, I'm just venting some of my frustrations in hopes that one member will relate and re-motivate me to keep on keepin' because right now I feel like throwing in the towel.
The first 3 months I was so motivated, but it's hard to stay motivated when you don't see any monetary rewards for all the work you put in.
I know this takes time which is why I don't want to quit.
Guess I'm just looking for some words of wisdom right now!
Appreciate it WA Fam,
All the best,
~Mike

I have just written a blog for You and for other members who want to quit Wealthy Affiiate Never give up; you might be closer to reaching your goal than you think
Oh, Mike, I was almost at that crossroads myself!
Thanks to the networking here, I've been able to make some contact to people who are earning, and will be getting some additional help.
You're quite a way further than I am at the moment, and I had to re-think.
What did I want a website to be?
I think today, I want it to be a meeting place for my target audience.
A place where they can find answers, addresses, contacts, a place they HAVE to tag as a resource, because it's such a handy tool for answers......
Haven't much to show for this "bragging" knowledge as I speak, but I've been on so many sites here, where the niche group will only visit for a very narrow scope of answers....
And sometimes, just never see it again......
And then, on a solid, and needed foundation, I would have a much larger chance to create monetarily valuable resources.....
This is just my own story.
And things will change and adapt as time goes on....
I guess I don't know the "right answer" to this one, my friend.
What I DO know, is that water is strong enough to hew out stone, and that the darkest part of the night preceeds the appearance of the sun.
I'd be sad to see you go.
I hope this comment will help, if only a few millimetres......
Thinking of you, my friend,
Therese
Therese,
Thank you for the thoughtful comment!
I agree having the clarity of your goal is very important.
I think that's why I haven't seen much success because finding the right niche is half the battle I think.
I love the analogy at the end.
Thanks again for your words of encouragement :)
They have helped more than millimeters!
Wishing you all the best,
~Mike
I'm very happy if I was able to help, Mike.
And that's the real sort of happiness..........

Hi Mike, I feel the same way, also 9 months now with WA and I have not made 1 penny. Actually, I believe I took a niche that is very difficult to monetize. And I have to admit I'm tired of all the information I took in, so maybe I will take a break. I also hope that there are many people with WA who have an entirely different story. I wish you a wise decision Mike, Marion
Thanks for sharing Marion,
I think the last 3 months of slacking has been my break so I'm going to take the advice from everyone here and get back to the training and stick with it.
All the best,
~Mike
Great decision, I'm not there yet, I wish you success, Marion
