Long Day, A Little Off Track But Still Truckin'
Hey guys!
Even after a week of being apart of this community, I still get a little nervous when it comes to creating blogs. I have absolutely no idea why when you guys are so understanding and helpful here in WA! Our community is so awesome!
Well, today I've had a very long journey..
I woke up around 7:25am this morning to get ready to go to work at 8am. I was running a little behind schedule so I had to go to my sister and ask her for a ride. Her response was "Just be ready", which I find funny because I am usually the first person completely ready before anyone in this household.
We headed out the door, and before she dropped me off at work, we had to get my nephew to school. I ended up running about 13 minutes late (it was exactly 8:13 when I got there), but I have an understanding, awesome boss that I like to drive insane. Honestly, I don't know how I still work there because I dance around, make weird noises, and act really stupid half the time INFRONT of my boss.
It always seems like a long day whenever I work morning shift, but whenever I act silly while working it makes the time go by faster and it is easier to smile and deal with the little things in life.
After my 8 to 4 shift ended, a friend of mine picked me up and we dropped someone off right before she drove us back to my house. We sat out front and talked for about an hour before my mom pulled up and wondered why we were still outside, mainly because I was suppose to help move things out of the garage before sunset since the light "wasn't working" (Remember this! Those are her EXACT words!).
So of course, it's going on 6:30 and it was getting dark out. We had to start working at the garage right away to move my bike out of the living room because my sister is having a baby-shower this upcoming Saturday. My mom is a stickler about the house being in top shape constantly, so to her the bike in the living room is an eye-sore.
We went into the garage and I had to have my friend use my phone light to keep us from stepping on anything important, sharp, or just plain icky. We tried to open the actually garage door, which we have to do manually, but when we tried... it was like the blasted thing was cemented shut!! Of course it is rusted but it shouldn't have been THAT hard to lift it. Needless to say, we gave up on that.
It was getting dark fast, so my mom was prepared to just call it a night. I asked her what exactly happened to the light, and she replied "Oh, the bulb went out."...
I looked at her with a plain, "are you serious" face and asked her if we should just change the light bulb, in which she replied "I don't think we can reach it" while there was a ladder a couple of inches behind her. Mind you, my mom is a brilliant woman...but she has her moments.
I took the ladder, and she went to get a light bulb. My friend was just laughing quietly to herself because she didn't want to be disrespectful, and this was her second time being over my house so she was still getting use to everything.
Finally, my mom brought me the light bulb, which is changed expertly might I add, and there was light!
It took about 45 minutes to move stuff from a certain section of the garage outside, break the boxes down and put it out in and against the trash can out front.
After that instance was over, we all went inside and my friend and I had gone back to the last subject she and I were discussing...What are we going to eat. Eventually we decided on McDonalds.
We went to McDonalds, picked up our food, came back to my house, and ate while watching an episode of Futurama that she had been wanting me to see for the longest time. It was around that time where she had to go home, but before she left she was staring out my window at some guy who decided randomly to bring his Chihuahua onto our yard to use the bathroom..
About the time that all this was done, it was around 9pm in which I decided to plop down onto my bed and I conked out for a few hours until 3am. I couldn't go back to sleep, so now I'm up here on WA leaving post and blogs everywhere!
So, that was just a slice of my daily life that I wanted to share with you all!
I hope you all enjoyed it!
Your Friend,
Brittany. :3
