Drones-drones-drones!
Drones have become quite popular with the public these days as toys but the public can’t see the danger coming. Our governments are doing things that make the Terminator look like a love story. Our U.S. law enforcement allegedly, has greatly expanded its use of surveillance drones.
Drones do good things like fire rescue and search missions but, there’s always a “BUT,” so does nuclear energy. Invasions of our privacy rights and the ability to kill from different sides of the planet in unmanned death machines are becoming a reality. As we sleep drones fly in the night (some peeping in windows). Some drones have been flying over our border with Mexico carrying all sorts of things.
Not only have drones been fitted with cameras and microphones but with guns and IED’s. Politicians are worried and are racing to create new regulations to curb pranksters and peeping toms but are completely ignoring the deadly forces being created by their counter parts in the military. I can only hope that the organizations that oversee the actions of our country and even other countries actions are not asleep at the switch about this issue ;3(…...

I'm from Canada where we have strict gun laws and they want to try and regulate drones also. Your president has just, arbitrarily brought to law more strict rules for firearms. This won't solve the problems. Bad people, criminals and radical Islamic factions will still get their hands on them, one way or another. These new laws may save some lives but it's not going to get better. It WILL get worse. I have more to say but not here.
New technology is great but virtually anything can be turned harmful by the wrong intentions. Nature of the beast.
there will always be a way to make something not be what it was intended for other wise we would not have had wars and people would all know the right way to use it all the best
Hey,
With all this technology, but like what KatieMac said, technology can be used for good or bad and it's for mankind to control themselves!...
I think what the most scariest part of all this is, its exactly what you said in your blog, Its our reality!
I just hope that these times don't become darker days!
I agree with everything you said, but I have conflicting views when drones are used as a weapon of war. I would rather send in a drone than my son or anybody else's for that matter. Using it to pry on the public is wrong, be it by peeping Toms or the governments. Reminds me of the book "1984".
Have a nice weekend.

Your worries about drones are certainly ones that should spark debate. I believe strongly that properly educating on the use of drones will be a good start to preventive measures for the unlawful use of drones. I will continue to take this angle on my website.
Thank you,

Until you see one in your neighborhood or out side your window. Thanks for your opinion cpratt653. I just hope drones save more lives then take them.
very like the duel edge of even the internet can be used for great things and the other side used to cheat people, danger to our children and promote terrorism .... what is really need is people to control themselves, we are living in a world were certainly people will do what they want regardless or rules and laws
Quite an eye opener but of course our current leadership has been asleep at the wheel for a long time thus it makes it even more critical that we are awake. Good piece.

I agree. Although, I have a drone that I use for Commercial real estate Developments and TV commercials. The drone does allow me to get shots that used to be captured with a videographer hanging out of a helicopter with a harness… I do kind of miss those days.(wink)
Well I am afraid of high places. Geez, you miss those days?
