Dedication!
Dedication! That's a strong word!
When someone is dedicated in doing something, they find the time to do it! How strong is your dedication? How badly do you want something?
When you see progress in what you want to achieve, your dedication becomes stronger. But when you don't see any progress, the doubt starts to sink in. That's when your dedication and determination has to be stronger than your doubt. How bad are you determined to achieve something? That would be the question.
Life gets to be overwhelming at times. And it seems like their isn't enough hours in a day to get everything done. We all can relate to this. But if we set our priorities right, we can achieve more than we think. What is more important in your life? Set that as a high priority than the things we don't think is that important. We need to ask ourselves every once in a while what is more important.
I think we all have those little things we do to cause us from doing what we need to get done.
For example, Many people are involved in social media these days. Do you spend too much time on Facebook? Is it taking away from the things that you want to achieve? Facebook is nice to keep up with family and friends and the pictures they post. But when you are spending too much time on their doing things that aren't important, that's when every thing else takes the back seat.
Or is your distraction television? Got to watch that sitcom or that soup opera. This is one bad habit that I broke many years ago. Now the TV stays off.
How can you change your life to make time for the things that are important?
Breaking the bad habits that take us away from what's important. Choosing what needs to be done and what can wait are a good way to set our priorities. The things that can wait, put them off for another day, or limit the time you spend doing these things. Asking yourself, does this need to be done or is it something that can wait.
Breaking bad habits can be hard. But not as hard as you make them. It takes 30 days to break a bad habit. Don't let bad habits keep you away from what's important in life.
I admit that I procrastinate on things that should be done today. And I do let bad habits and unimportant things keep me away from what is important. A good friend of mine tells me that it's because I'm a Gemini. (she is into the astrology stuff). lol But I think that's a little bit of every body.
What do you want to achieve? Is your dedication strong enough to keep you away from what's NOT so important?
When you are dedicated to doing something, you have to make the time to achieve it. Make it your priority. Having a strong will to achieve something will give you the upper hand with dedication and determination.
I have seen a few people that gave up on their dreams too fast because they don't have the determination to see it through. Their determination fades when they don't see any good results. This is a good example of someone trying to lose weight and get fit.
This reminds me of a photo I seen on Facebook.
Two men digging for gold. One man gives up just inches from finding the gold. Turns and walks away. The other man, keeps digging. This man had a strong determination to reach his goal, to keep digging. He was dedicated! Don't be the first man. Don't give up on your dreams too soon. Keep your dedication strong. Keep telling yourself I'm only inches away from my goal.
Thank You,
Brenda
