I am referring to the Online Entrepreneur Certification course. It says to use an Amazon link, but I just discovered that my Amazon Affiliate account was automatically rejected

You don't have to use Amazon as suggested, I don't. You'll be alright if you choose your own affiliate programs, good luck !

I would say yes, Bryce!

Jeff

The training uses Amazon affiliate links more as an example than a neccessity. But you can use any affiliate links you want to and just apply the same principles that WA teaches you.
I really dont know much about Walmart affiliate program, but if you think it looks good, go for it.
It may be worth checking out some of the big affiliate groups like CJ Affiliates, Clickbank, Awin, etc.
You can find plenty of great affiliate programs in the "Promote" tab above. Alternatively, you can just google "Affiliate programs" and you will find thousands of different affiliate programs.
Another good way of finding any affiliate program is;

1. Go to the shop you want to promote
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Click on "Affiliates" or "Webmasters"
4. Follow the instructions.

Best of luck and be sure to give us a shout if you need any help.

Cheers
Kev

Thank you for the help!

No, you can use any affiliate program you want to.

Thanks Joe.

Anytime my friend!

So I'm wondering, I know we are supposed to make most of our website blog posts be informational only, no affiliate links.

Does anyone else have a problem trying to come

Jest talk about you're site and build from there and if it's for your way home page what ever is relevent or on you're mind

I like that advice, thank you!

I appreciate all the suggestions.

I did have a draft I'd been sitting on for a couple of weeks that just needed minor tweaking, and decided to go with that. I do have a couple of other ideas I'm thinking of.

Hi - I have written several blog posts on this subject. Here is one of them.

Very good. Thanks.

There are many ways to find things to write about... search your niche and then visit their websites to see what they are writing about... don't copy but great way to get inspiration.

Also visit forums where people ask questions such as quora.com

Another good resource for ideas is YouTube again search keywords in your niche and see what videos are there.

Trust this helps

Martin

I guess I knew all this but was looking for something more, I don't know. Something more personal, maybe? Tips of experienced bloggers on what inspires them the most? I'm not sure I even know what I'm looking for with this question.

On my current WordPress theme, I haven't found a way to have an image come up on the main page for each new blog post. I may have to upgrade to a Premium theme. I'm just wonder

Glad you got it sorted, Bryce! 👍👍

Hi - that is called a featured image. Open up a post for editing it in WordPress. Look to the right-hand side of the screen towards the bottom. See if there is a featured image option.

Thanks, I found it. I was looking on the left side and didn't even notice the format part on the lower right.

I did find if I changed the format from Standard to Image that it no longer displayed only an excerpt on the main page, but the entire post, so I fixed that. The featured image can be used on either of these formats.

How much content should I get on my website before I consider starting a second one for another niche? I plan to build no more than I can reasonably post updates to regularly,

Hi - rather than add just one post per week to several sites, it would be better to write 2 or 3 high-quality posts for one site. This will be more successful. Concentrate on your first site for at least 6 months, as realistically you won't be getting much traffic until you have at least 50 posts.

Thanks, makes sense.

It's take time to do one so think of the time you have before you add another
TIM

Thank you.

Focusing on one niche site at a time is the best approach.
If you have several niches in mind, pick the one you are the most passionate about to start with.
Your goal is to reach at least 100 articles on it to enjoy some success after about six months of hard work.
Choose wisely.

I appreciate the advice, it sounds like a good plan.
