WA intra networking and a Zen parable

A human being dies and an Angel comes along to assist it on the next leg of it's journey. It suddenly finds itself in an opulent dining hall. On the gigantic table is a gourmet feast fit for all the kings and queens of all time. The human exclaims with excitement "this must be heaven", just then he notices that all of the participants have boards strapped to their arms in such a manner that they cannot bend their elbows and are desperately trying to feed themselves as they slowly and painfully starve to death. The angel replies no, "this is hell". They are suddenly transported to another dining hall. Here everything is exactly the same except that all of the diners are feeding one another to their satiated contentment.

I've been a part of a few network marketing companies in the past and yes up/downline teamwork, assistance and camaraderie does exist as it does in conventional corporations, but for the most part it's PROFIT driven. If you make $ then I make $, therefore I will help you.

WA obviously has more of an almost nonprofit incentive feel about it regarding the assistance given so freely amongst it's members. I do believe some members are enamored with and driven by the idea of increasing their rank and notoriety within the organization (myself definitely included) and that's fine and dandy, but for the most part this is a community that has tapped into the uncommon knowledge that we are all truly part of a collective consciousness and that by helping one another we truly are helping ourselves :)

Excellent post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

very good way of putting it, enjoyed the post

Bryan great analogy. All you really have to do is look around and will more than verify what you are saying. Great job buddy!!

Thanks for the vocabulary lesson , seriously :)

Good post, just a matter of clarification, notoriety is the quality of being famous for misdeeds. I think you meant you wanted to increase your rank and renown within the organization, as renown is being known for good deeds. Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine when these two words get swapped.

Great point of view here. While I am ranked highly, it does not mean all that much to me. The most important thing is to work together so that we can all succeed and have a better life.

That's a lovely post truly- thank you

Thanks,I think it's a true reflection of the nature of this organization. Your supposed to be passionate about your niche, and with good reason.I find it difficult to "not" be passionate about WA.
