Those two Books . . .
Some reorganising of my study became necessary at the start of the new year. As I worked, I lamented the idea that I did not read two of the books I wanted to read before the end of 2016. Some feeling of self let down rose within me, especially because I made a serious pledge to read those books. The frustration with myself lingered - as if it took the decision not to let go - and I remembered that at other times I managed to complete my readings by the end of the year. For a while, there was this sense of space within me, and I retraced my steps in time. I tried to figure out why I did not read those books, given that I could not immediately remember what was different in my life.
The feeling of something missing, weighed down on me, and I wanted to ensure that my sanity was still intact - I had not read the books and why I did not read them was just not clear to me. Some say "It's an ill wind that blows nobody good", and it was my moment to test that. Then the aha moment breaks through, and it dawned on me that in joining WA - my reading of my two books was put on hold.
Thankfully, such 'put on hold' has definitely not been a loss, because in spending time here at WA, I still derived my daily reading benefits which include among other values:
- knowledge
- comprehension
- mental stimulation
- stress reduction
- vocabulary expansion
- improved focus and concentration
- increased writing skills
Here is that one again, increased writing skills - the skills that you and I need to write good content for our websites. So reading time is necessary - it is a need. Of course, in a context where we work, study and set up business here, It can be challenging to read whole books - but the abundance of rich reading materials here at WA, I think - is a reasonable daily substitute. Also, when we read, let's treat ourselves - let's embrace it as a big investment, because our brain and enriched content will thank us for it.
Here's hoping you'll find something of value.
May your Sunday life's recipe include the ingredient of happy reading time.
Cheers.
Sheila

Thanks for the interest and for stopping by as always, mike. Those books actually belong to my friend, in fact it's quite a number of them, the two in question focuses on money - "Millionaire Next Door" and "Think and Grow Rich". I think they were a little out of sight as well.
There must be some type of ESP here Sheila. My wife just got The Millionaire Next Door today!!!

Enjoyed reading your post. Thanks for sharing. Stepping back and assessing where we are at is a good thing. It lets us fine tune our strategy for moving forward. Just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing Sheila There are several books that I haven't got around to reading, however since joining WA I've done more reading and writing than I ever did before.
Love the quotes :-)
I truly believe that reading and writing situation, Gaylene. Thanks for stopping by, and I trust you'll get to read some of your books.
