Want to learn a simple way to code? Try the new Py app
Today, I was flipping through LinkedIn as I usually do to check out any fascinating articles, and I came across an ad for a this new free app which teaches its users how to code in a similar fashion as Duolingo.
Now, if you have never used Duolingo before or you don't know what it is, it's a language app which teaches you a variety of different languages in a fun game-like manner. It's very user friendly and in my opinion, one of the best ways to learn a new language next to being submerged into it.
So I downloaded this new app, and based on my skill sets, it's going to teach me HTML and Java Script. I haven't got too far in it because as soon as I checked it out and seen what it was all about, I wanted to share it with the WA community.
Apparently the app is only for Apple so far, but they are about to release the Android version soon (depending on how old the article was, it may be out now).
So check it out if you want to add onto your web business building knowledge :)
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/ap...
Cheers!

Definitely something I will check out when they release the android version... I am always looking for new unique ways to learn how to code!
I have used many different resource such as udemy, lynda, and Code Cademy as well as others! All were pretty good and I can't wait to check out Py.
Brooklyn - I had a look at Py. It looks fantastic. The here is so much to choose from and a good way to learn. Thanks very much.

No problem and I'm happy that it impressed you! I'm excited about learning the different programs and there's so many that I hadn't even heard of. It's an excellent way to step up your tech knowledge.
Honestly, I don't know if there is anything that's better than Duolingo. Their learning style is fantastic. I have tried Rosetta stone before, but that is a program that you have to purchase unless they've come out with a free version that I'm unaware of.. But I highly recommend trying duolingo.
I will try Duolingo for review purposes soon. I read about HelloTalk and it seems you can talk to native speakers for free.
oh yes, I have joined an online site where you can connect with people in other countries where you can talk to someone else in another language. But I found with that that you must have a good grasp on the language already, otherwise it's hard for the two of you to communicate. But those sites are an excellent way to improve your current language skills!!
Well, I don't need any more English lessons. I've been studying Portuguese for a couple of years but am only at basic level. Probably Duolingo, if I start from the beginning, I am guessing it's too easy
I am also interested in language learning apps because I've written a few articles about language learning in general lately and might write reviews of these apps. I need topics. You know it's tough to come up with topics!
The good thing about Duolingo is that you can test out if it's too easy. I use it for Spanish, German, French and Russian and they start out pretty easy but then get pretty hard.
Do you have a site where you are writing reviews for the different language apps?
These are the ones that I've found online, but I can only tell you about the first one. I may just check out a few more to see what their learning style is like because you never know if something else might help you learn quicker!
Duolingo.
HelloTalk.
Mindsnacks.
Busuu.
Babbel.
Memrise.
Leaf.
Lingua.ly
You are learning all these languages at the same time... Oh my. For me one keeps me busy enough!
I wrote a few articles on the Siterubix - not app reviews, how to lean a language type of tips. But I want to add app reviews and right now am thinking if I can turn it into a niche site. Ok, I will polish up a little bit and show you
I have tried only Babbel out of these. It's ok if you are a beginner. Nothing special.
lol variety is the spice of life!! Plus, so many languages are similar so it's not too difficult.
Sound good and I look forward to checking out your site!
I think it would be a great niche idea for you. Language app learning is getting big!
No problem! I hope you like it. I've already finished the HTML/CCS and Command Line beginner courses. I'm excited about learning Swift

A new way to code agent 99? I love Duolingo and am in total agreement with you. Thanks for this post. I have downloaded the app and it looks pretty good so far.
I'm glad you like it 007! It's really quite fun. I think you have to purchase a membership to be able to learn the advance levels, but it's still a good introduction to a lot of different computer languages :)
