Wealthy Affiliate Week 10 Check In - Big Things are Happening!
Wow, week 10 already! Time has been absolutely flying. I feel like I say that every week...but it's true.
It has been a whirlwind of a week for me, lots happening at school as we prepare for Spring Break..included the dreaded report cards. I honestly don't take very long to write them, but its a lot of grading and tallying and stuff.
I have been trying to get back into a more regular content creation schedule, and I have been improving. There has been less time between my last few posts, so that's a good thing.
My goal this month is still to finish Certification course 5. I am making pretty good time, and only have 3 lessons left in the course!
Unfortunately the GoGetters training Bo has been so graciously creating for us has been put on a hold due to technical difficulties...can't wait for that to be resolved! *crosses fingers*
All that said, 2 pretty cool things happened this week that I'd like to mention!
- I finally checked my AdSense account (its been a while) and discovered that I have earned a whopping $0.63! Now I realize that's not crazy money by any means...but it is technically my first earning from my website. Also, I didn't have to do much to earn it, so that's pretty cool!
- I was doing some checking up on the rankings (if any) of some of my posts, and I found that one of them has made it to #2 on Bing & Yahoo on page one, and is on page 2 of Google. None of my other posts have done so well as far as I can tell...but I'm working on it. Still a very new site so I'm trying not to have any expectations in that regard.
So now that the ball is most certainly rolling, I need it to snowball! To help that process along I have created a rough posting schedule for the next 14 weeks (from now until the end of the school year) in hopes that it will keep me on track and motivated. As focused as I can be, I know I can also get distracted by all the sparkly things here at WA and my seemingly endless blog post ideas. Now only time will tell whether or not my research & list that I built today will help.
I also plan to ramp up my content creation. With my schedule I have the goal to post 3 times per week. Pretty tall order with my schedule, but I think I can make it happen! While many skills are new to me here at WA, writing is not one of them. I have always been a quick and efficient writer, and 6 years of university only made me even better (and a stellar researcher)...thank goodness!
Well, enough rambling for now. Off to work, and hopefully another great week here at WA :)
