Decisions, Decisions, Decisions ?

Sometimes life can require important decisions, and many of these choices relate to our every day quest to earn money. In most cases it is necessary to spend money in order to earn money. This is the case with most businesses, and Wealthy Affiliates is truly a unique business. The difference here is that WA gives so much value for the money spent, unlike so many online scams that take your money and give you nothing in return.

Just this weekend we had to make a decision about our relationship with WA. Do we do business as usual, or do we take advantage of the Fantastic Black Friday deals? Well, if you are serious about learning then that part of the decision was really a no-brainer. The tough part may have been whether to go Premium Annual or Premium Plus. I had to do a lot of analyzing here because my wife is also with WA. We could have chosen to combine forces and do the Plus under one membership but we both are rather independent and have our own niches that we prefer. Neither of us have done much of the training yet, as we just started with Premium about 6 weeks ago. Therefore, the Plus would have bombarded us with more training than we have time to do. So, we analyzed it all and decided to each upgrade to annual premium, for half the monthly cost we were paying. Since I referred her to WA I also get almost half my money back in commissions (I will share it with her). Another year at this and we will both have much of the basic training behind us and be ready for the Plus upgrade.

Now with that decision behind me it is time to commit to making money and complete one website, afterwhich I will repeat the process and monetize even more niches.

This creates another decision: Where to devote my time. When I upgraded from free to Premium 6 weeks ago I had a WA ranking of 224,000+. I didn't like being so far down the line so I was determined to get into the top 100. As of today I am ranked at 45 (top 50). I realize this ranking can be advantageous for recruting purposes, and I am learning many things communicating with other members and reading and responding to their posts, but it is not accomplishing my goal of making money with my website. Also, I am not able to offer much help to others because I have not completed enough of the training myself.

WHAT TO DO?

BOTH! I need to continue working with the community but I must limit my time with it. I MUST spend time each day doing the training and building my websites. I don't anticipate immediate income from either of these activities; but I do know I have to spend time at both. I have so many projects that I really enjoy doing, in the house and yard, that is is hard to tear away from them. Problem is they all cost me money rather than making money. So I have determined, with my financial committment to annual premium, that I WILL balance time in training as well as the community.
