3 Months Deep: What I've learned So Far...

Before I continue with this blog post, I just want to give a shoutout to pribs for being so helpful on my journey so far!

So I'm about three months in... What have I learned?

#1) The most important thing I've learned over these three months is: Nothing is impossible. Let me explain...

I used to take singing lessons at my university last year without much progress. I didn't think that I'd ever be able to sing at the rate that I was going at. So, after a year of lessons, I was incredibly discouraged. It wasn't looking good for me and my singing potential.

My teacher had informed me that she wasn't going to be able to be my teacher next year. That left me even more discouraged for a while. But after contemplating this, I decided to spend my time looking as hard as I could for a new teacher. After days of searching I found one who I thought would be a good fit.

I went to his studio and I expected something very similar to what I had last year.

I Have Never Been So Wrong In My Entire Life!

My new teacher is phenomenal. I kid you not when I say this: I made more improvements with him in two lessons than I did all of last year.

Some of you may be asking: What does this have to do with Wealthy Affiliate? I'd respond by saying everything!

The most important thing I've learned, even though it wasn't directly associated with this website was: Nothing is impossible. However, we do have limitations as to the things we can do. Example, not all of us can be Kobe, Usain Bolt, Beyonce, etc. But that's besides the point.

If you don't get anything else out of this post just remember what I'm about to say:

The only person who can stop you from succeeding is yourself. The paradigm shift that occurs when you are able to do something you thought was impossible is life-changing.

I do want to say that I did learn quite a bit when it came to content creation, indexing of websites, authorship, among other things, but I felt this post was much more important

Now as for my 3 Month Goals:

  • Hope to be seeing more improvements in my knowledge and experience in building out websites, creating valuable content, and driving traffic
  • Hope I can see some income. Shooting for that first dollar.
  • Begin with my other goals of starting to build out a brand.

My 6 Month Goals:

  • Shooting for at least $50/week from my website
  • Want to have at least two-three websites developed.
  • Want to have a much larger presence on W.A.

I'm sure as time goes by my goals will change, grow, develop, and expand, but for now there it is.

Wish this 19-year-old some luck and here's to all of our journey's at W.A.

-Kelly Kilson.

P.S. You should all read the Talent Code, quite a phenomenal book if I'd say so myself.

Great post. And very wise for your years. ;-)

That's a wonderful piece of wisdom written by a 19-year-old. There are many, many adults who haven't figured this out yet.

I appreciate that Allyn! I think it's more to do with the people around me then it does with me to be honest.

Then be sure to keep those people around you!

I couldn't agree with you more.
