I agree with Chris. I like the look of your site a lot. Are you able to add an image to your header? That might be one way you can get more of the look and feel you want, without making a major overhaul.
You have built a nice site here... i like it a lot... certainly a theme which can allow a nice banner at the top.. with a little color but not too much it dazzles your visitors.. but i would keep the text area white with black text...
But it all honesty .. if you can make a banner for the Theme you have now... i think the layout is nice as it is!

Thank you both for your feedback. While I do like the current layout, I believe that there may be a less used and more appropriate theme for a fishing website. I do not think that I can add a header image to the top.
