Keep The Cold Out
So I am choosing to be positive, on purpose. It's really cold outside! It has been well below zero degrees for the last five days. And then it snowed heavily two days ago. So today and yesterday I walked home on the snow. Yesterday I started out gingerly trying to keep on the paths where the snow hadn't settled or melted and become slippery. Suddenly a lady came and offered to hold my hand to keep me from falling and to make me feel more confident walking home. She was so funny, realising that I am a nurse she said "oh! you are a nursey wursey" "You do so much for others everyday, allow me to do this for you!"
I felt so appreciated and happy as we laughed and chatted and walked to the supermarket, Lucy and I. I stopped for a few items on the way home. What she did might not seem like much, but it was really a blessing to me that this total stranger just came and was so friendly and kind to me. So its just one of the many blessings I am counting today. I thank God for life, love, laughter and Lucy. Let us continue to keep warmth in our hearts for our fellowman. Keep the cold out by by focusing on the positives in our lives and in others. Wishing you all a warm festive season, even if it is cold outside.

It's pretty cold here too Brenda and we received the first of the winters whitestuff last night...
It is beautiful to look at first thing in the morning until one has to venture out when it has turned to slush though!!!
Having strangers to help us on our way is a fantastic thing...
I always try my upmost best to do the same at all times of the year...
Take care my friend!
Thanks for your response. Where are you? I totally agree. Its nice to look at...from indoors, through the window with a nice hot cuppa...
Cheers :-)
You're most welcome Brenda!
I currently live in France and a nice hot cuppa mulled wine does the trick my friend!!
Cheers!! 🍷
Hi Brenda, yes, nice of strangers to help a nurse wursey out. That's so sweet. Yes, it's cold where I am but no snow yet.
Thanks for your comment Brenda. Always nice to speak to another Brenda. Remind me where on the globe you are? Its only minus 2 degrees outside, but on Sunday it was minus seven, which we down in the south of England have not experienced for quite a few years now!
“Think positive and positive things will happen!”
Nurses give all the time. You give your service that other’s life would be better. You give yourself not expecting anything in return. So when experiences like this occur, it’s a really great thing! I know …for I am one!!!
Have a wonderful week Brenda!
Cheers,
🎄Maria🎁
Are you a nursey wursey?!! Very pleased to make your acquaintance. Thanks for your kind comment and for stopping to say hello. Where do you practice? are you in America? I am in Hertfordshire England.
That's so thoughtful of the lady.
Action as little as that can do wonders for others. If only we give it a try.
Thanks for the share.
Thanks for your comment...random acts of kindness costs nothing, but it brings so much happiness!
