Just A Little Story About My Entrepreneur Father
Arlie Dale Turner was my dad's name. After he finished high school, Everyone called Dale because people often struggled to pronounce it. He was a true salesman entrepreneur. A business owner adventurer so friendly and readyto make a deal. He had a knack for coming up with clever ways to make money.
One day, at 5 years old, he created a toll sidewalk. My grandmother wasn’t too thrilled when she saw what was happening. People walking by would chuckle and actually pay him a nickel for him to lift his arm and let them pass. The only way I ever knew my father was the way he always had a new idea to try.
Changing his industry was common, from new auto parts at the swap meet on weekends, to building a store for auto accessories, to making fiberglass spoilers and flares, to forklift sales then warehouse racking, and his last grand finally was electric bike motor kits.
An Adventurous and enthusiastic man I miss so much. He had passion, loved people, always a half full glass. Integrity describes his nature, failing to him like tripping, just to get ready to try something new. He asked my two sisters and I what we thought about his ideas and if we had anything to add. So, for me... adjusting to different niches is nothing new to me.
Looking back at my life, I can see where I get the same thinking patterns. I've always been open to trying new things to earn a good income. I used to tell him about the affiliate marketing ideas and he was gun hoe for me to get on with it. Back in 2004 I didn't think I could find any school or training on that stuff so I dilly dawdled a bit with Google Ads, Click Bank, and SEO research but there wasn't enough time to wear all the hats in our e-bike business. So that had to be set aside so I could get the orders for e-bikes sold from Ebay sent out. But the idea of marketing through website ads stayed in my mind ever since but how do you know which one of these websites should I take a chance with? I tried many. But the thing I forgot to do that my dad always did... I stopped asking,
I AM PUTTING MYSELF IN FOCUS AND BEING STUBBORN FOR MY OWN GOALS TO ACHIEVE
I don't like having to get up every day at the same time to be at the same place, same people, strict and stressful only to receive the same size check no matter how well my work was done at the end of each day. I did all that starting at the age of 15. Great experiences I learned from and value to this day.
The one thing I have to say is that we here in this platform all have one important thing in common. Our brains are wired so much alike. We want to have variety, challenge, encouragement, patients and especially drive with an open mind to listen. My dad would always say "If you don't listen, you don't win" "Listening takes patients and gains respect" I watched him, helped him throughout all his endeavors of each industry he ventured into. He was good at creating ideas and that's one of the most important parts of ourselves. "WE ARE ALL CREATORS"
That's it for now. I hope you like my first post. Whew!

Absolutely love it Brenda... what a great guy!
I'm sure that you will follow in his footsteps my friend! :-)
What a great introduction of your dad for your first post. He instilled within you a passion to win in life. He sounds like he was a great guy. I'm sure he sparked a lot of ideas in you as well.
Thank you JarieLyn, Yes he was a great guy and father. I think about him every day and when I am here the most often. I think he will be here with me guiding me through all this.
I keep saying to him. "I told you so, this affiliate business is the way to go to last a very long time".
Ah, I'm sure he is guiding you and watching you.
My dad passed away last year and he was really into the AI stuff. He would absolutely love to see how it's evolved. (well, he probably knows).
Yes, your story is so real and encouraging: trying new ideas. Have you read my new idea?
It's on my blog, here in the WA about how I paid my membership fee from a new idea/strategy.
Thanks for sharing your story.
John
