Google Search Console Stats: Why I Cheated a Little-Bing Hates Me (see the stats)

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend with their celebrations. The party is over, and now it's time to get back to work and plan to create content and plug it away on your social media platforms.

I know...I know...I said I wouldn't look at my stats this month. I only cheated a few times this month, but today is the end of March. Tomorrow is a new April day, so we will find out later this week whether or not the Google Core update is completed for March. It's possible it can go on longer.

Sharing My Google Search Console Stats and Bing

They aren't done until the next one in May. Tonight, I want to share my stats. They aren't much, but they look better than my stats on Bing. Of course, I have been using Bing Webmaster Tools to get my articles indexed there.

I saw only a few of my articles on the first page of Bing, and a few were in one of the questions I asked for my blog post title in Bing Copilot (ChatGpt). I thought that it was interesting. I found Bing was using one of my articles as a resource. I thought that was cool. I didn't screenshot it because I still do not want to share my website name. I am keeping it private because others have tried to copy my work.

I started my new site very late last year. I bought the domain and did nothing; I added some content back in Septemeber 2023. I did not start writing content until late November and December 2023.

Technically, content-speaking, it's five months old. I didn't count September and October because I added pages there. I needed a couple of months to think hard and plan what I wanted to do with my website.

As stated, my old website wasn't working out for me, so I trashed the site. It was a site about product reviews. I was uncomfortable writing product reviews by saying it's not recommended and WA is the only recommended affiliate program.

Everyone was doing that. I followed suit under the old Bootcamp training. I angered many people, and they had a right to be. I received a lot of scam and dating scam emails, and some guys harassed me on WA when I first joined.

I lost my motivation to build a website. I didn't want to go with Amazon either because they cut the commissions then- they didn't care about their associates.

When the announcement came out that the AI Author was coming out, I waited until then to see how it would go for me. That was when I decided to try again.

Google Search Console Stats

As you can see, there is nothing to be impressed about. It goes up and down and down; it's an ever-slow process. I do not post every day, although I try to. It's just time-consuming to edit and place photos.

I want to ensure I follow the Google HCU from last September and write more deeply about my experiences. Only a few articles from December and January are on page one, but the clicks are slow. This is the total from November to now. In the 28 days from March 1st to the 28th, there were not many clicks, only six.

Organically, traffic with Google is slow up and down. Since they started their Spam update, I expected it to be volatile like this. It took 14 days, starting on 5/5/.24, and the Core update is ongoing.

So, are we surprised? Some say their sites are going down, which isn't pretty. I agree, and I understand everyone is getting hit.

My website is small—it's just a baby, and it is slowly growing. I am aware that I must try to diversify to other platforms.

I am uncomfortable using other SM platforms, so that's another thing I need to tackle. I will eventually get this figured out.

I have six articles to edit, write about my experiences and photos, and get published from SiteContent

To change their content, Google has given websites that do "site reputation abuse" until May 5th, 2024. You can read more

https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2024/03/core-update-spam-policies

Your website should avoid having these issues, as stated in this spam policy link. I encourage you to save it and read it thoroughly.

Bing Microsoft Webmaster Tools Status

Urgh, this isn't pretty. Bing hates me—oh, poor me (I'm Kidding). I don't care because Microsoft only owns a minimal share of the SERPs. I bet if I did some PPC ads, I wouldn't make it either. I lost $80 last year during the Black Friday WA promotion. I learned my lesson. It would have been wiser to go slower with paid-per-click ads. I know I am not ready for it.

My focus is to keep putting more content writing about my experiences.

I will figure it out with Pinterest. I have some ideas on how I can improve my pins. Try it again.

All this is just a learning curve for everyone.

I am staying on the positive side.

Dont let these stats get you down. Keep going and keep putting out quality value content. 😀

Let's hope that after Google cleans up the SERPs. Those who follow through with doing what Google wants may finally see our traffic improve. Quality and value, and remember who you are talking to when writing your content.

You should follow this great checklist, which is based on Google's E.E.A.T. checklist and focuses on creating helpful, reliable, people-first content. I post this list on my laptop every time I write a blog post.

Have a great week ahead. Stay motivated and write like a demon!

Thanks for sharing this Brenda! I believe that the vast majority of us have been hit recently, are we going to give up??

Absolutely not!! Ride the storm, diversify when needed and see where we land on the other side!!

Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your Monday!! :-)

Thats true. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Nick. I appreciate it. You too have a great week! 😀

You're most welcome my friend and very much appreciated!

Take care ok!!

👍🤗

You had me until you said to write like a demon.

To me this is a learning experience. You write , you make mistakes , you fix it. That takes time.

We have to agree to disagree on that. But we do agree that you shouldn’t stop when google throws up a wall. You have to keep going.

You put your heart into this. I know.

It’s just that on the blog no one sees it now. I am optimistic that it will change soon. I am just a bit impatient and feel like I learned that I can’t depend on any one source of traffic.

Yes, we all learned this.

Keep at it, Brenda!

Your diligence will pay off in the long run. 👍👍😎

Yes doing Entity SEO too. Not done yet. I'm getting there.

You’re really Rockin’ it, Brenda! 🤘⚡️🥁🎶

👍

Bing has been ignoring one of my new sites too... Which is odd as they used to be the ones that picked things up first.

Interesting

Paul

Hi Paul, I agree. It's interesting. I don't know what's going on with Bing either.

You’re right, not much happening here.
Stevoi

I kind of expected that.
