Warm coffee in Cold hands!

Eyes closed as my cold hands touch the warmth of the mug. The coffee's strong scent brings flashbacks of moments gone by. I can feel the sand between my toes as the the sound of the waves come rolling upon the shore. I just want to soak it all in. Every moment...

Every moment...Thinking back to talks we had, sitting upon the shore, as little girls. Talking about "What-if's" and longing for more. More of moments like this. Eyes Closed, all I can do is sit, sit with the warmth of this coffee touching my cold hands.

Why must this distance, draw a line between us. If only, you were here. With a wam cup of coffee, in your cold hands sitting in the sand, dreaming back to the good days, where the birds flew by and in the sand we'd play.

I'll drink this cup of coffee and ponder awhile. Think back and smile as my heart is filled with warmth of the sun, as if you were right next to me. I miss you dear sister and that coffee too.
