Take a Little Bit of Success and Scale It
Will it scale?
I was helping to start something once - an educational opportunity for leaders - and we were talking about the best ways to give young, self-starters opportunities and mentorship. An idea was suggested about pairing them up with existing leaders in the system.
"That sounds good, but will it scale?" the voice came from the back of the room.
When it comes to the world of marketing, scale matters a lot!
Here's a practical example...
You get approved as an affiliate for a product and you tweet about it. Someone clicks and buys it. Awesome! You'll probably want to do that again, right? But will it scale? How many times can you tweet about that product before all of your friends stop following?
That's the reason why it's so important to keep on blogging and building websites, writing new content, and fixing up old content. Old content, to Google, is still worth including in its results.
How do you make your marketing scale?
- Grow your list of email subscribers.
- Add new content regularly.
- Venture into new niches.
- Build new sites alongside the existing ones.
- Go back and improve on previously published work.
- Outsource when it's economical to do so.
- Re-invest profit into the business.
Don't just make a sale. Make it scale!
