3 Quick Tips for Growing Your Blog's Community
Respond to comments.
Simple enough, right?
Growing your blog's community is a matter of helping people feel connected to your blog, and sometimes even to each other.
And there are a few simple ways for doing this...
1. Respond to people who leave comments as often as possible. Don't stress over it, but be reachable via comments.
2. Interact with people who share or discuss your content on social media - in Facebook posts, on Twitter, etc. (You can search Twitter for your domain and it will show you everything being shared from your blog even if they don't mention you on Twitter directly.)
3. Give people options to subscribe and keep up. Growing your email list isn't just about selling things or getting traffic. It's about going a little deeper and more personal. That's why you should always send your emails from an address that actually exists and to which people can reply.
I'd suggest reading a post over at ProBlogger on this subject. And if you don't already know about ProBlogger, Darren Rowse has been blogging even longer than I have. He was one of the first to blog about blogging and he's a millionaire many times over because of his work. And, he's a nice guy! And an Australian... but I digress.

Don't just think traffic. Think community.
