We have all done similar things and it does suck!

Don't go to hard on yourself, It happens to a lot of us.Take a deep breath and start over. I know it sucks but I'm sure it wont happen again. your gonna be fine:)

I, too, have done this ... too many times to say out loud ... you will all think I am a total scatterbrain! lol So sorry ... that's why I like to write it out on paper ... just in case ... it never fails - if you write something really great - you can't remember it just as you wrote it the first time! Smile, chin up and be grateful for the practice! :)

It's happened to me before. Luckily I had it written prior, but I made some changes in WordPress. My son needed something and he just shot down my computer. I did exactly what Macaulay Culkin did in home alone. lol

found part of what i lost but still mad at self for not doing proper save oh well. Learned to save things more now

Mine normally save in draft until I post.

Go back and see if the draft auto-saved.

ohh, that should be saved as draft, you can check again

You should have click "save draft" once a while. Never mind, everyone has moments like this.
