Merry Christmas to Kyle & Carson and to all of my WA family
A TIME FOR GIVING THANKS AND SPREADING GOOD CHEER
There hasn't been one day since I joined WA in early August that I have not logged into my WA account. Tomorrow Christmas Day will be the first time as it will be a day of prayer and a bonding of family. As I have said in a prior blog post, Christmas for my family is all about being together as a family. The gifts do not really mean much to us because the love of family and friends will always last longer and mean so much more than any gift could ever be.
ESCAPE THE COLD...HELLO WARMTH!
After the passing of my Dad and then my Mom, my siblings and I started to take Christmas vacations together. Our material gifts to each other were just a card with a scratch-off lottery ticket inside. The real meaningful gift was going someplace warm for Christmas by escaping the cold of the Northeast U.S. Being that I am the youngest of 4 I got to choose where Christmas was going to be. So for Christmas 2009 I chose Disney World in sunny and warm Florida. If you have never been to Disney World during Christmas it is even more magical and festive than it is during any other time of the year. I highly recommend you go for Christmas at least once in your lifetime.

Thank you Helen! My family is in 4 different states here in the eastern part of the U.S. That's another reason why Christmas and a family vacation together is extra special for us. We rarely get to see each other throughout the year and spending Christmas together is wonderful! - And as Mickey Mouse would say, Have a Merry Mickey Christmas! :)
Yes, it's all about family and friends both physical and virtual. Spreading good cheer should be something we do all year round but at least it's nice to see people doing it during Christmas time. Merry Christmas to you too Debbie.

Merry Christmas to you and yours John. I hope it's not too cold up there in the Pacific Northwest for you. Maybe some year in the future you should try Christmas in a warmer climate. It's sort of nice walking around on Christmas day in shorts and a t-shirt. :)
Now you hit a nerve! I am thinking a lot over the last 3 weeks about the 6 months I spent in the Caribbean Islands a very long time ago. Christmas there was just wonderful.
Wow! Where in the Caribbean? I would love to go to Barbados for Christmas one of these years, that's where my father was born.
Grenada. Back then in 1975 and before the Cubans/Russians came in. Pure PARADISE then they did not have this huge airport the commies built at the most beautiful spot on the island so one had to jump on a small plane in Barbados. Nice island too but too flat.

Thank you Brother. :) Ah the Isle of Spice! Nice! I have never been but there are many islands I would love to go and visit. Maybe one day take a cruise to a bunch of them like my parents used to do. I love Barbados, though most if not all of my relatives are no longer there. Some have moved to Trinidad but most are here in the U.S.
Have a wonderful time with your family Robert. The memories you build are going to be so much more meaningful than gifts. More people should realize that.
