Would Love Some Advice On Keywords Please?

Hi everyone, this is my second site, my first site is a niche site which is doing pretty well, I didn't seem to find it too hard finding good keywords for that niche, but I am for this new site?

I thought about targeting stay at home moms looking for work online, I would love to help more women get involved in affiliate marketing because I know myself how much more positive in life I am since being a part of this awesome community as well as successfully creating a profitable niche website.

Okay so my problem is, I am lost for keywords? I feel as tho this was actually an area I wouldn't have a problem with, but I do.....can anyone make any suggestions or have any advise on this.

Am I targeting a hard audience? I have only written 2 posts that are targeting stay at homes moms, should I look at another audience?

Would really appreciate some feedback here please

Thanks a million

Justine :)

I use a combination of keyword tool, alphabet soup, related keywords and terms. I find related terms useful

Are you using the key word tool. I have Jaaxy which is even better. I spend some time researching key words for each niche. Then I copy my key words from Jaaxy into a word document and print it out. When I write a new article I have the list of key words in front of me and pick ones I wish to include. You can use new key words with every sub-heading in your article to rank even higher. Dave

Hi Dave, yes I use Jaaxy and Alphabet soup technique, but I think the problem is I am not getting out of the 'stay at home' keyword. I need to be more open to other keywords. :)

I was messing around on google with alphabet soup technique. To begin with try hyphenation the phrase stay-at-home moms then these were some I came up with - work, anxiety, wealth, income, jobs, schedule, money, money issues, burnout, budget, benefits, business ideas, culture, finances
These were just the start , you might want to check them out in Google trends, or trend hunter and jay. I think this is what you were talking about. I'll help brainstorm if you pm me.

Thanks Liz, that would be awesome :)

I don't think you should only focus on the Keyword "stay at home mom". It will get really hard to write. Just think of ideas and topics that a stay at home mom would be interested in with regards to making money. If a college student somehow ended up on your site that's fine. They will either leave, realising it wasn't the info they were looking for or maybe your article will help them as well.

I was recently looking up some exercises to do at home without any gym equipment and I landed on a men's bodybuilding site. I actually found some great exercises there.

Hope that helps. I know I really struggle with keywords in my current niche. I have started just writing articles and when they are done ongo back and see if I can find a Keyword to throw in. If not then the article just doesn't have a Keyword. It's better to wrote something than nothing at all (at least that's what I have been told)

Thanks Tanja, I know I have to get my butt into gear and keep the momentum going, and I was thinking I had keyword research down packed, LOL

Ya, I thought the same about myself until I got stuck.

Justine, I think you are way ahead of me on this, but perhaps for the new site you really should take a step back and "unfocus" on key words for a while - just write some articles that you know stay at home moms would enjoy and that you enjoy writing. Add in the keywords later as I imagine you did with your first successful site. Just my thoughts.

Yes, thank you, tomorrow I am going to begin my day with just this!!! Awesome advise, thank you :)

Watch Jay's latest video class about setting up a new niche. The week 1 has about brainstorming ideas.

Thank you, I will check that out also :)

Hi perhaps the easiest way is to remember that stay at home moms is a generic category and that each mom has her own particular interest and business idea - but all need to start with a website, choosing a niche, following their passion, managing time, juggling family life and building a business, needing to stay motivated, working in isolation, coming up with ideas to write about!!

Basically everything that you needed to get going applies to this target group as well. - Marie

Hi Marie, thank you, I am having a blonde moment!!! LOL, so are you saying that I could right content with they keywords in? ie: " Needing to stay motivated" do I have to have 'stay at home moms ' in all my titles?

Hi (love the comment lol) - you can add elements of your stay at home moms theme into each keyword title such as - managing your time when the kids are at school, or staying motivated with your home based business - how to combine a home business and school holiday activities etc.

sorry justine forgot about this one pj posted it the other day

If I can give you an advice it is to stick with your audience once you have chosen one. (Stay at home moms is good audience btw.)
I have heard that several times coming from famous online guru's and they all say the same.
It's very important to create trust within your audience and not make it too broad.
Stay at home moms won't' have the same needs and desires as elderly people,... for example and people unconsciously don't like to be put in the same group as other with whom they don't have anything in common.
Same guru's say that every post you write should be interesting to at least 80 % of your audience.
Hope this helps !

Thanks Angel, I guess I am just having problems finding keywords, thanks for your input Angel, much appreciated. I will stick with this audience, I really believe I can inspire moms that are at home get inspired about creating an income online.

Try to think about how stay at home moms can benefit from you and how you can help them and you will come up with topics and keywords .
Have you tried the alphabet soup technique ? You can also read blogs and websites dedicated to stay at home moms to analyze some recurrent patterns that will help you in your research
Good luck!

I have tried the alphabet soup technique, I love using it, I think I just need to look at other keywords not just 'stay at home moms' also exactly what you mention, I need to think about how I can help those moms ....... :)

Hi Justine, good luck withthe new site. i have just come across http://soovle.com/ similar to google alphabet but covers more.
