My progress so far
Here I am at the end of certification course 2! I've learned a lot along the way and definitely feel like affiliate marketing has a lot of potential. For the last couple of months I've been reading a book called "The End of Work", by Jeremy Rifkin, that deals with the social ramifications of the increasing automation of production. Jobs are getting scarcer, including retail, and the commodity value of human labor is decreasing. Affiliate marketing seems to be one of the few sectors that are expanding as we transition to an information economy.
Earlier this year I was looking to buy a rebounder (a mini-trampoline). While I was doing my consumer research I came across some very strange information regarding the benefits of rebounding. I was looking for a website that would summarize the research that has been done on this subject. Alas, this website did not exist and all I found were some rather speculative claims designed to sell me a rebounder. I am happy to say that the website I was looking for now exists . . .
Rebounding Science
So far I have been following along the certification courses and have launched a website called Rebounding Science:
http://reboundingscience.com/welcome-to-rebounding-science
I am developing this website to help rebounding enthusiasts make informed consumer decisions. So far I have reviewed a few papers, and one product line. I have a lot of content to develop before this website will fulfill the vision I have in mind.
Like many of you, I have a few things on the go at the moment. I have been devoting about 10 hours a week to my website. I plan to increase that time to 20 hours a week because I think that affiliate marketing has a lot of long-term potential. Even if this website doesn't boom, the skills I have learned here are working for many other people, and I already have a couple of higher traffic niches in mind.
Success!
The website I was looking for in my time of 'need' now exists, and I have learned a lot about my niche. Hopefully the financial success will come in time . . . I guess that's what certification course 3 is all about right?
In the next 3 months
I would like to flesh out the Research section at Rebounding Science with several more paper reviews. Review several more product lines and get going with some affiliate programs.
In the next 6 months
I would like to help someone who is looking for a rebounder make the right choice for their specific needs. I would also like to make a commission by this time.
Thank you for reading about my progress so far. It's always inspiring to see the websites that are developing here at WA. I look forward to seeing more of this process as it unfolds.
Take care,
Blair

AWESOME!! So happy to hear you are reaching your goals. Very interesting niche. Doesnt sound like you need it, but lots of luck!
Good for you Blair. What an interesting topic you've chosen.Just one thing I notice about your site is that you need to size them more consistently, put captions on them and align them properly. Otherwise they detract from what you're saying and people might not even start reading.
